Brillant Smallfish
lvl 1 - 50 Cooking level up's. Basically 60 to 70 of these fish will get your cooking to 50+
I can't remember off the top of my head, but I believe I did this fish up to level 75 in
cooking, before it turned green.

Recipe Purchase Locations:
(A) Catherine Leland <Fishing Supplier> Stormwind City (Unlimited)
(A) Gretta Ganter <Fisherman Supplies> Dun Morogh (Limited Supply [1])
(H) Harn Longcast <Fishing Supplies> Mulgore (Unlimited)
(H) Martine Tramblay <Fishing Supplies> Tirisfal Glades (Unlimited)
(H) Shankys <Fishing Supplies> Orgrimmar (Limited Supply [1])

Below are the 12 most popular fishing spots for them. Basically they're a very low level
fresh water fish. So pretty much any inland lake in a starting zone will give you them at
a decent rate. Don't really worry about the percentages for these because really anywhere
will net you them. I think I caught pretty much every one I used from the puddle in the middle
of thunder bluff.

Location: # of Casts: % Caught:
The Canals Fishing Stormwind City 35898 20.2%
Valley of Honor Fishing Orgrimmar 35819 16.2%
Lushwater Oasis Fishing The Barrens 29487 12.7%
The Loch Fishing Loch Modan 23685 11.4%
Iceflow Lake Fishing Dun Morogh 20957 57.8%
Stonebull Lake Fishing Mulgore 18597 55.8%
Crystal Lake Fishing Elwynn Forest 15208 61.2%
Cavern of Mists Fishing Wailing Caverns 12724 15.1%
The Stagnant Oasis Fishing The Barrens 10825 12.7%
Rut'theran Village Fishing Teldrassil 10302 46.5%
Cliffspring River Fishing Darkshore 8591 10.1%
Brightwater Lake Fishing Tirisfal Glades 8530 48.5%

LongJaw Mud Snapper
lvl 50 - 100 Cooking level up's. Like I said, I believe that you can use the smallfish to
75 cooking, but I can't quite remember. Either way, you'll need these from at least 75 to
100 anyway.

Recipe Purchase Locations:
(H) Harn Longcast <Fishing Supplies> Mulgore (Unlimited)
(A) Khara Deepwater <Fishing Supplies> Loch Modan (Unlimited)
(H) Killian Sanatha <Fisherman> Silverpine Forest (Unlimited)
(A) Nyoma <Cooking Supplies> Teldrassil (Unlimited)
(A) Tansy Puddlefizz <Fishing Supplier> Ironforge (Unlimited)
(A) Tharynn Bouden <Trade Supplies> Elwynn Forest (Unlimited)

Again, Below are some popular fishing spots for Longjaw Mud Snappers. Basically, when your
fishing gets past 50 you'll start catching these more, even if you keep fishing in the exact
same spots as the smallfish.

Location: # of Casts: % Caught:
Lake Everstill Fishing Redridge Mountains 40154 34.1%
The Canals Fishing Stormwind City 35898 71.7%
Valley of Honor Fishing Orgrimmar 35819 58.7%
Lushwater Oasis Fishing The Barrens 29487 45.7%
The Loch Fishing Loch Modan 23715 40.5%
Iceflow Lake Fishing Dun Morogh 20976 34.0%
Stonebull Lake Fishing Mulgore 18597 34.1%

Bristle Whisker Catfish
Lvl 100 - 165 Cooking Level Up's. Ok, basically, this recipe will take you to 150 for sure,
I believe that I took this to somewhere around 165 to 167 or so. I remember this because
once this recipe turned green the next 15 or so levels are basically not fishable. Well, not
easily anyway. I basically had to farm myself some lion meat for these levels. It's really
not that bad, you will only need 25 pieces max, if you start doing the lion meat recipe at
150. Once you hit 175, it's back to fishing.

Recipe Purchase Locations:
Catherine Leland <Fishing Supplier> Stormwind City (Unlimited)
Derak Nightfall <Cook> Hillsbrad Foothills (Unlimited)
Donald Rabonne <Fisherman> Hillsbrad Foothills (Unlimited)
Kilxx <Fisherman> The Barrens (Unlimited)
Lindea Rabonne <Tackle and Bait> Hillsbrad Foothills (Unlimited)

Personally, I actually fished up most of these in the puddle that sits in the middle of
Thunder Bluff. They pop'd up occasionally when I was collecting the other stuff. They
became a more frequent catch the higher my fishing level got. Now I can catch a ton of
these pretty easily, though, their usefulness has really come and gone for me. But I
used them as my 'heal' food for quite a few levels.

Location: # of Casts: % Caught:
Lake Everstill Fishing Redridge Mountains 40425 63.1%
The Canals Fishing Stormwind City 36475 22.1%
Valley of Honor Fishing Orgrimmar 36165 19.8%
Lushwater Oasis Fishing The Barrens 29897 16.3%
The Loch Fishing Loch Modan 23967 13.5%
Shadowprey Village Fishing Desolace 19818 33.6%

Additional Notes: Progressing past 150 Cooking.
When your cooking reaches level 150, you will no longer be able to advance with the help of trainers.
At this point, you'll need to buy the "Expert Cook Book", which will allow you to progress to a maximum
level of 225. To use the expert cook book, you must be at least level 20 and have a cooking skill level
of 125

Expert Cookbook Locations: Shandrina <Trade Goods> Ashenvale 1 Gold (Alliance)
Wulan <Cooking Supplies> Desolace 90 Silver (Horde)

Additional Notes: Progressing past 150 Fishing.
Fishing is much more of a 'get there when you get there' kind of skill. However, if you've fished all
the fish to get you to 150 cooking, you should be getting pretty near 150 fishing as well. Progressing
past 150 fishing, is the same as getting past 15 in any of the other secondary professions, in that you
can't get the level from a trainer, but rather have to buy a book. There is only one vendor for the
fishing book, and he is neutral and avaiable to both factions. He's located to the right of the ramp
coming out of the water on the bottom warf of Booty Bay. To Use the Expert Fishing Book, you must be
at least level 20 and have a minimum fishing level of 125

Expert Fishing Book Location: Old Man Heming <Fisherman> Stranglethorn Vale 1 Gold (Neutral)

Hot Lion Chops
lvl 150 - 175 Cooking Level Up's. Alright, so this was the skill range that I diden't
cook fish for. Well, as I've said, the Catfish turns green somewhere between this range.
I don't ever remember getting 25 pieces of lion meat though, I remember needing like 13 or
14 to get my cooking from the point that the catfish turned green to skill level 175, when
I could learn the next fish recipe.

Reccipe Purchase Locations:
Vendor-Tron 1000 Desolace (Limited Supply 1)
Zargh <Butcher> The Barrens (Unlimited)
** This recipe is also avaiable as a quest reward for the Horde
Players. The quest is Called "Elixir Of Pain"{Quest Desc. Link Removed}

The easiest place to grab the few pieces of Lion meat that you're going to need is Hillsbrad.
Either West of Tauren Mill or North of SouthShore. Basically in the fields across from tauren mill.
There's really no reason to go elsewhere, the lion's are pretty low here, and the drop it quite often,
often enough that I was able to catch everything I needed to get to 175 in like an hour.

RockScale Cod
Lvl 175 - 225 Cooking Level up's. Ok, this one is a good one. Going from level 175 to 225 with this
recipe will take you no time at all. These are very plentiful. They're also a great food to carry
on you at level 35 (the required level to eat them).

Recipe Purchase Locations:
Donald Rabonne <Fisherman> Hillsbrad Foothills (Unlimited)
Heldan Galesong <Fisherman> Darkshore (Unlimited)
Kelsey Yance <Cook> Stranglethorn Vale (Limited Supply 1)
Lindea Rabonne <Tackle and Bait> Hillsbrad Foothills (Unlimited)
Shankys <Fishing Supplies> Orgrimmar (Limited Supply 1)
Tansy Puddlefizz <Fishing Supplier> Ironforge (Unlimited)

Fishing Location: For this one, it's not really any use to list multiple areas. Fishing them from the
warf in Booty Bay is just too easy for these. You seriously catch A LOT of these at booty bay. Also
Hang on to Any of the "Firefin Snappers" and "Oily Blackmouth" fish to sell in the AH or use as yourself
if you're an Alchamist. Be sure to hang on to all of the "Spotted YellowTail" fish you catch as well.
You'll need them for the next big fishing recipe.

Additional note on lvl 225 cooking.

Level 225 Cooking is the max level for expert level cooking. At this point, you'll have to be level 40 and
complete an artisan quest to advance any further.

For Alliance: Daryl Riknussun <Cooking Trainer> Ironforge (Begins your artisan quest by sending you to Gadgetzan)
For Horde: Zamja <Cooking Trainer> Orgrimmar (Begins your artisan quest by sending you to Gadgetzan.)

Additional note on lvl 225 fishing.

Level 225 Fishing is the max level for expert level fishing. At this point, you'll have to be level 40 and complete
an artisan quest to advance any further.

For Alliance: Grimnur Stonebrand <Fishing Trainer> Ironforge (Begins your artisan quest by sending you to Dustwallow)

Option #1

Spotted Yellowtail
Lvl 225 - 250 Cooking Level up's. Alright, during the time you were fishing your rockscale cod off the
warf in Booty Bay, You will have no doubt caught enough spotted yellowtail's to get you from 225 to 250
cooking. These are good 'fast food' fish to carry around on you as well. This would only be used for
quick healing, these are so plentiful you won't care about wasteing them. If my life is down by 1/4 I'll
just sit and eat one of these for a couple of seconds to top off my life bar and be on my way. You
woulden't want to 'waste' some of the higher level fish this way.

Recipe Purchase Locations: Gikkix <Fisherman> Tanaris (Unlimited)

Fishing Location: Like I said, you'll catch plenty of this type of fish in booty bay, however, you'll
also catch a fair amount of it in Tanaris off the warf in Steamwheedle Port. Really, this is pretty much
the only places you need to go to catch this fish.. but it can be fished in any ocean, where the surrounding
area is lvl 40 to 50 or so.

Option #2

Tender Wolf Steak
Lvl 225 - 250 Cooking Level up's. Now I know this is a Cooking & Fishing guide. However, I don't want to
simply limit it to fish. Cooking & Fishing together is the 'best' way to level Both skills in unison, however
it may not be the best/most useful choice for your Character at that particular time. Level 225 cooking is one
of thoes times. The Cook in the inn in gadgetzan, has a new recipe that was added a couple of patches back.
This recipe for Tender Wolf Steak, is pretty much your best 'buff' food at this level. it gives you +12 Stamnia &
Spirit for 15 minutes, and restores 1392 health over 30 seconds. The reason why I note it is because at around
level 40 I was leveling in Tanaris. The tender wolf meat needed for this recipe drop's A LOT off of the wolves
in Tanaris. So, by killing them, you're gaining experience to level up, You're getting the ingredients for the best
food buff you can use at your level & and you're leveling up your cooking skill as well.

Level 250 + Cooking.

This is where the guide is going to take a bit of a different turn. This is the level when we start being able to
make the food which is the primary reason we took up cooking/fishing in the first place. You'll notice that not all the
recipes here are lvl 250+ recipes, there are some avaiable as low as 225, feel free to buy and learn these recipes as
they become avaiable. I refer to the recipies I'm going to talk about as HEC (High End Cooking), and the Fish as HEF
(High End Fish .. duh! bet you coulden't see that one coming.)

First I'll go over the recipes, what they do, and where to get them. Then I'll give a list of the different fish needed
to make the recipes, and tell you where 'I' had the best luck with them.
