Some of you may know of this but just in case you don't it's very useful otherwise you'll waste loads of time since blizzard fixed the older methods we used.
Go into reg VH and just hit the mobs in there without starting the instance. Try to find a good spot to stand where you aren't pulling all the agro because they hit hard enough to make you heal/bandage up. Every while you'll find yourself never tanking and just dps'ing to skill up your weapon while the friendly npc's tank.
