How to check if the mail is a scam

1 : Open Windows Live Mail (dont know if it works on other clients)
2 : Right mouse button on your mail
3 : Properties
4: Details tab
5: Check if there is any hotmail/live/yahoo etc.. account written in there.

There you go, now press thanks button!

Yes, but there all also some mails that dont require a password but still are scams, such as sending you to a phishing site.

Oh, and here is a translation of the above for members that don't speak German, I did my best

I have a better method that functionates with every email-client
When the mail says you need to enter a password -> Scam
When it doesnt say that -> No Scam

But still remember what I said about this method :P

Same you can do in Gmail and i think that with any other mail provider you can check details, and see from what mail it was sent.

Well, I really don't like the idea of scamming peoples accounts, but for the epvp community I suppose I can post this here. This is a real email sent by blizzard that can be used in phishing emails to try to scam accounts. It really is 'the best' way to scam, as it uses a VERY realistic email address and the exact same template that blizzard uses. Sorry its only in English, but I don't speak German. Heres what to do: Ways of finding emails 1) This method finds people that are part of the...

Hey guys, Don't really post much here other than to thank people, but just thought I'd share this with you. Received 9 e-mails today with the subject 'Silkroad online account ban'. They look like this: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/6637/updatedfa keem2.png BEWARE. This is a fake e-mail and redirects to a website other than the official one.

So I was reading some of the mail scams and junk. It's all the same. This is the same as everything else as well. Mine, however, will take advantage of people's greed and curiosity rather than their stupidity. Without any further ado, here is my scam. Many people involve the wrapping paper in their scams and use the CoD system. This is a GOOD thing. Particularly for the scam I present to you now. First, you must pick your targets. Ask some question that most higher level people will know...
