What went down with the Playstation leak?
Reports and rumors are still talking about the existence of the most awaited event by Sony Playstation Showcase fans, which was said to be held during the first half of this year 2023. Today we are on a date with more of these rumors that come to us from a very reliable source in the industry.
The Statements & Journalists Talks
The famous journalist said in new statements through an interview on that Sony is preparing to hold its own event during this year, specifically in May. It will come before the Summer Game Fest event presented by the well-known journalist Geoff Keighley.
These statements from Grubb are in line with many of his previous statements in one of GiantBomb's podcast episodes for the month of February, where he said at the time that the big Sony event will come before the event that was canceled E3 2023 and it is not the first time that some media have talked about the existence of the Playstation Showcase event.
What to expect?
Previously, The well-known Gaming Insider Tom Henderson said that Sony will hold two events during the first half of this year, the first is the State of Play which took place last month. The other is a huge event that will be held in conjunction with the activities of the E3 2023 exhibition which was supposed to take place in June, before it was recently canceled.
So talking about the event has become one of the most important questions asked by the player community that is awaiting new Sony announcements, while the community is waiting to see what the company has in store for new projects that large studios such as Naughty Dog, Guerrilla, and Bend Studio are working on as well as partner studios working on huge titles of the category AAA.
"We think there's been a little bit of fatigue about how long the show has been," Keighley explained, "there are lots of games and lots of things that want to be a part of it, but we're cutting back on those things to hopefully have a bit more of a streamlined show."
Keighley also stated that the show will include fewer huge games. "We definitely have cut back pretty significantly in terms of the runtime on the show and just you know kind of fewer games, fewer bigger games that'll be in there."
