Pocket Gnome und Shadow Bot sind zwei Cheat-Programme des US-Anbieters Ceiling Fan Software. Nun ist bekannt geworden, dass die Firma einen Prozess gegen Blizzard verloren hat und Schadensersatz in Höhe von 7 Millionen US-Dollar leisten muss.

Aber für die Firma wo verloren hat vielleicht nicht ^^

Bezweifel ich ebenfalls stark, die Summe werden sie nicht rauskriegen. Wobei es Blizzard eh egal ist, die Interessiert nur dass die Firma platt ist.

Frage mich eher, wieso es "verboten" ist, so einen Bot zu erstellen.
Schließlich könnten die doch einfach schreiben, dass sie keine verantwortung für die User, die den Bot benutzen, übernehmen ;O?

Laut meinen Informationen wurde Pocketgnome und Co. auch gewerblich vertrieben und nicht einfach nur "erstellt". Und das ist meines Wissens nach illegal, da ein solches Programm gegen die ToS von WoW verstößt.
