{EN}[Review]Dark Souls

Heya Elite*Pvpers, Bane with another review/user subed news, (it has been almost six months since my last one), So today I will be reviewing Dark Souls a new, and might I add INSANELY difficult RPG!


Ok so let's start off with the whole reason people buy this game

Difficulty: Now anyone who has ever watched a video, read a magazine review, or watched a freind play knows this game is no walk in the park, everything spading from environment hazards, to obsine and difficult challenges to gain bonus weapons is set up in this game to kill you, and trust me, it will. When I first got in and created my Knight, I got the ideal that the game was highly over exaggerated, I was painlessly flying by the Undead Asylum, killed the first boss, and had already received my prize, humanity, (we will go in depth on this in a minute), I was then escorted out by a giant crow, which gave me a chance to admire the beauty of the game, the next time I could play I was located beside a bonfire, with 10 flask and no ideal what to do, for a minute I just sorta wondered about, talking to some of the NPC's and trying to figure out what I needed to do, there were two paths set out for me, one way was garded by monsters that completely tore my face off, and the other by monsters I could take, so obviously, I spent four hours trying to do the first one. Frustration finaly got to me, and I proceed to the second path, this is where I learned just how hard this game is, everything is about precision, one wrong block of your sheild, one early strike, and one early parry could lead to instant death! And as if that wasn't enough, if you die you loss ALL of your souls and humanity!!! (of course you do get a chance to get it back) After around 4 hours of grinding, buying arrows, and increasing my HP and SP, I was finally ready to take on the first boss, my first thought was simple, block block block, STRIKE. Well this didn't work, each of the bosses attacks broke my block, and gave him around two seconds to smash away at me, so I had to think of a new plan, like I said environment in this game is KEY!!!! So after the help of a certain tower, and a striking attack fall, he was dead!

Summary: Yes, the game is hard, you have to focus on every aspect, you have to constantly view your environment, and know what ALL of your gear does, things like this are critical!

Graphics: When I'm not dieing in this game, I am constantly trying to observe the graphics, this game was beautifully done, the fire looks amazingly real, all of the texture is matching, and nothing really meshes, this game earns a a top spot in my favorite games, just on graphics alone!

PvP: Ah yes, PvP, online is one of the BEST features about this game, sometimes you will need to recruiter another undead to tackle a hard boss, or sometimes you just want to invade someone else realm to prove you are top dog, whatever it may be, you are going to need humanity. Getting humanity is by far no simple task, you can either kill bosses, loot chest and pray you find one, kill another undead with the dark hand, (invade there world), or make the ultimate choice of killing a human NPC (which has consequences), this game defiantly has the BEST online I have EVER seen!!


Overall: 9/10

What I don't like: Mainly just the abundance of bugs the game has, not to mention the hackers and low FPS us Xboxs gamers get! :/
