Looking for A Guide to Swtor Madness and Deception DPS Specs?

This time, we would like to offer a guide about the swtor Madness and Deception DPS specs for PvE and wish you all can be much more familiar to the Assassin class. The Assassin class is the only melee DPS which wears light armor, making them generally less durable, however they also have force speed to quickly maneuver in a fight, as well as being able to stealth to avoid some direct damage.

The overview of the Madness and Deception:

The Madness and Deception are two specs that the Assassin class can choose. Now see them one by one. The madness funcctions in a way similar to its Sorcercer counterpart. This specs is highly dependant on ensuring that your dots get maximum uptime, however Assassins do gain access to a sub 30% buff to dots that Sorcerers do not, as well as generally using instant abilities instead of casting. Deception is a complicated spec that has been changed many times in recent patches because it relies heavily on phases of very high burst damage, but unfortunately suffers from rather low damage output.

Tips and tricks on your swtor skills:

1. Deathmark is the most important part of the Madness rotation, and must be properly used in your adventures;
2. Creeping Terror ticks on use and does the highest damage per tick;
3. Crushing Darkness does the lowest damage, but ticks every second for 8 seconds;
4. Force Cloak and the Dark Embrace buff: they grant the initial rotation, but its benefits are significantly less substantial as part of your regular rotation during a fight;
5. Phase walk: it can be a really useful travel mechanic to move around and avoid the mechanics and transitions, and can maximise your DPS by significantly decreasing travel time.
6. Force shroud: it is a fantastic defensive CD that you should maximise your use of as you can completely avoid some of the most devastating attacks and mechanics in a boss fight.

In the end, we suggest that you better check the guide in-game so that you can fully see their usages and make right choice to your battles. These guides are from the experience of the veterans and are invalauble resource and may help you play more smoothly in swtor. Enjoy the Madness and Deception in swtor.
