question about opening/owning a server

I am an old sro fan that played the original experience back when sro first came out till D11 ( played both isro and SROR )

I came back to the game a while back and saw the private sro scene and how it is very bad with so many edit and special stuff to make money off players to keep the server going which I totally understand I don't mean to offend anyone here

i just have a general idea that i want to accomplish with the help of others while taking the toll of the cost on by myself

i am planning to open my own private server for SRO with a genuine experience of the old isro which i experienced back in the day with no donations systems or any other "get money from players scheme" . high rates to everything just to help dads such as myself who don't really have the time to play as much as we want to and BUT also keep a bot running and check it out from time to time like i used to do it was fun for me for some reason so i want that also in my server ( with limits to 3 for each person ) . also NO BIG number like 450B for an item ****. i want it a billion to feel like a REAL billion might want to brainstorm ideas on this on a later date but yes a billion will be the highest in the server of my dreams so i guess a SOSUN would sell for 600m ? IDK. i have many other ideas but will keep them till i know what i am doing.

I have a few questions which might lead to other questions later so bear with me, please.

1- how much in dollars does it approximately cost to maintain a private server with the capacity of 1000 players only ? with both a site for the game a discord server and the game itself ??

2- for a staff of 5 what the wage here exactly?? is there a specific amount ? or is it for each role a different wage?

3- who do i need exactly to do something like starting a server ?

4- approximately the cost to start something like this ?

5- and then maintain it ?

6- what security do I need ?

please help me out here as i have ZERO knowledge on how to open a server. what i need. who i need. who to talk to .

any answer would be much appreciated here

1. $100/month if you will do everything yourself and if you won't advertise.
2. If you're serious about the staff $10,000/month but if you want some noobs as a staff there are even people who will do it for free.
3. All you need is a dedicated server and server files.
4. It all depends from $100 to $10000, it depends on your abilities and advertisement budget.
5. Maintaining is free, if you do it yourself, but you can find skilled person to manage your server for about $200~$300.
6. These is nothing I can point, You have to secure your os (Windows Server), make sure there are no vulnerabilities in your PHP scrips, for the server at least use a filter but It won't solve all the possible problems.

2) Stability on client-side -> proper implementations, bug fixes -> developer
3) Proper firewall, DDOS protection -> service
4) Stable web config -> developer
5) For the higher population: PR -> service

Believe me, don't open a server... There is this "old school Server" and they failed. Don't waste your time and money. GG will take it down or it will die in some moth. But anyways good luck.
