because everyone use the source to privately develop a better emu, and then sell it

yeah but 1 thing you can only make a emu with it :P you can never make a private server with these files and i don't tink people would buy a emu to play alone or with a few other guys:P

and private developing is sooo much work all those skills all those thing silkroad has it's too much to for just one guy :P

edit milan1 lyzerk's emu is not dead he doesn't release newer versions but i think he has one of the best emu arround:P

if u keep working on the emu u can make it stable enough to hold maybe 500+ players for days

yeah but i've never made a emu before but it's fun to program new things:P but the client keeps crashing and i don't know what the reason is but it's a real challange.

EDIT: another thing i'm worried about are all those query's if i walk from the spawn point of jangan to the south gate you have a massive mount of query's when you restart the game server and if you have 500 players that would crash the server in 1 sec :P and with autospawn even faster so that whole database thing needs to be more efficient :P.

The Person who posted the link for the v1.236 client it does work. U need to extract all the files but the silkhook.dll and u need to patch the media because it is set to his hamachi IP

Why when i start loader it show me to run silkroad.exe and when i do it click start it crash :< ? {win7, in xp mode}

you have to patch it with mediapatcher cause the person who uploaded the client used his own ip in the media.pk2 :P
