You are totally wrong. The PSRO era will finish in some years,joymax will sue every pserver. If the working serverfiles will be published,they cant do a ****

@fro I think that these files wouldn't be such a pain for joymax I mean c'mon they are outdated. and if they are public everyone will start their own little server and mess arround with stuff but it will never support all the things of isro or ksro or whatever official version
I guess that the emulators will eventually be so good that those will destory the game.

If there will ever be a open source emulator which is 100% complete released, Im sure people with skills could change silkroad into something better than what joymax is trying. Just think of the pro's and con's.

Eh, its not emulator.
Today, after some tests, the GAMESERVER took 700MB of ram of my pc.
Dude, there will be only proffesional peoples who will host such server.
You need atleast 8gb ram to host a server on ur pc, otherwhise adios amigos ^^

8gb of ram ddr3 is 150 on hardware sites. 1k would be enough to build a capable CPU so you won't need to be professional. Anywy glad to hear the gameserver taking that much ram. Means it has a chance of actually working great job.

Hi :D Yeah I know many people tried this, failed and i dont know if this is even possible., but.. I just get bored and decided to create this thread.
Ok so I think for now the goal is to start Silkroad Launcher w/o any problems or try to connect to SMC succesfully.
