sjsro (silkroad online launcher has stopped working) error

i have made compalibility windows xp sp2 run as admin got newest media pk2 reastarted com and reinstalled anyone not what the problem is ? no its new and its the launcher itself as soon as it opens it gets that error

i Got this exact same problem, just started happening yestaday, i think it meens were banned.

dude u even if you a banned the silkroad should still open even if ip banned ok

No mate, when both servers are offline, the launcher will stop responding. So if we are not reciving the Servers IP because our Ips have being banned, it will do the same thing because the launcher will think the servers are offline.

Ive figured it out (well it works for me) all u need to do is turn firewall on and compalibility to windows sp2 it works

bullshit
the old server is down for inspection
the new server is working
check your firewall,media.pk2,mediapatcher and if u dont have the media.pk2 that gives you the option for 2 servers so make sure u have the new server media.pk2

I have found the solution.
For people that have tried to run silkroad on windows vista i have found a solution, and possibly works on other windows operating systems as well.
Data execution prevention is the reason it stops working.
1. Press start, and right click computer or my computer and press properties
2. For vista, on the side of the window are tasks.
3. Click on advanced system settings.
4. then under performance click settings.
5. click on data execution prevention
6. then press add. make sure the checkmark is on turn on dep for all programs except those that i select
7. browse for the folder, silkroad (in program files) and select the execution called , Silkroad.
8. press open and then apply
9. press ok
10. try the game and enjoy !
