Arrow Who can make the Perfect Private server?

These ideas were borrowed from bunch of servers I have played. Many had good features but not all of these ideas. Some of them are my own ideas. I am posting this because this is how I want a perfect pserver to be. Anyone that can do these changes and bring this idea to reality will have a successful server in my opinion. If I forgot anything I will add them. Feel free to comment or add your own opinions. Anyone that wants to work on this project can do so. This is free idea.

Increased delay time on reverse scrolls to 1 min
Increased monster spawn rate to 2x
Snow shield INT has requirement 20%= 150 int, 30%= 180 40%=250 50%=350 60%=450 (pure str Chinese at lvl 100 has 119 int points w/o fb)
Added Stun skill into Chinese force at lvl 100
Chinese has new buff: 10 str and int and 3k health and mana
Fix pill bug
Delete vigor grains from NPC and only available as potions from monster drops
Monsters drop tablets and stones: NPC sells elements
Removed destroyer rondo
Removed warrior screen skills because they are too overpowered
Premium 200 silk: 5% stats +5 str and int
Devil Spirit stones enabled for plusing devil spirit
Devil Spirit 15% only in item mall 150 silk
Remove damage/defense scrolls from item mall
Remove Magic pop entirely
Globals can only be used lvl 70+ so that there isn’t too much spam.
Jangan cave teleport will be added at Jangan to B1, B2, B3, and B4.
New npc with 3 new sp/title quests
Any other grab pet (not a monkey) purchased from Item mall will have 4 pages in inventory

Level up rewards at Potion NPC
In many servers, potion NPC rewards at lvl 1, 5, 8, 10, 16 and so on either are changed or kept the same. Here we change them entirely into items that will actually be useful. People can earn exp/sp scrolls, globals, return scrolls, and gender change item. These just make more sense.

Free silk tokens
Monsters drop free silk tokens all over the map. It has rate similar to drop rate. With this free silk you can buy item mall items at NPC in Jangan: Premium 3% no str or int bonus, devil spirit 5%, reverse scrolls, instant return scrolls, 10k XL hp/mp potion, 10k arrows/bolts, skill edits, repair hammers, exp scrolls, 3 day grab pet, 3 day clock, 4 full set avatars. This way donators are not overpowered. They will have easier time getting silk items.

Capture the Flag
Capture the Flag is an event we want to encourage among players. So it will happen every 2 hours and registration is at So-ok in any town. Killing each player gives 1 CTF token and winner of CTF gets 1 more additional token. These tokens along with arena coins will be used for SoX upgrade system explained below. CTF tokens cannot be traded.

Battle Arena
Again we want players to be active and earn their end goal rewards. So BA will happen every 2 hours also, alternating with CTF. So CTF will happen 1 hour after BA. Winning team gets 5 arena coins and losing teams get 2 arena coins. Arena registration will only be available at lvl 100 (arena npc will be moved to new teleport area where only lvl 100 can come) to make things fair for all players. Again arena coins will be used for SoX upgrade system. Arena coins cannot be traded.

Job War/Honor System
Honor Buffs will be disabled from academy, and academy is removed. Honor buffs now are received from Job War Kills. Job war takes place every 6h or 4 times per day. Only lvl 100 players in thief, trader, hunter suit equipped can enter by teleporting from hotan for 5m. This will be a new teleport area that will have two rooms: one for traders and hunters while other is for thieves. Only thieves can teleport to their room and only traders and hunters can teleport to their room. This will be similar to CTF style where players comes out from room and kill the opposing job class. Killing a player will earn you 1 Job kill. These kills will be saved on website/server for 7 days refreshing to 0 every Sunday 00:00am. The top 50 players with the most job kills will receive honor buffs in the same way academy top players worked. These players will have the buffs for 7 days because the system will record and save kill data for that time. Any form of cheating or multiple character logins can be screenshot and reported to GM who will look into it.

NPC-equipment
Everyone wants to level up without a hassle. So D1-D9 will have Seal of Star +5 items 0% stats but with +5 str and int. These will help early players lvl up without the problem of finding and alching items. These items will be sold at normal npc in towns for 1 gold. So there will be no worries about farming gold for this. Auto-equipment has big problems on servers so npc-equipment is best way to avoid that issue.

Alchemy
Everyone rages when it comes to alchemy on server. We want alchemy to be fair but at the same time not too easy. Max alchemy will be +10 and with advanced elixir +12. Alchemy rates will be the same as in iSRO to keep it challenging.

Elements can be found at NPC. Tablets and Stones will be dropping from monsters. Immortal and Astral drop from Job temple unique and sold at item mall.

Job Temple
In the Job temple, only lvl 100 players with equipped thief/hunter/trader suit on them can teleport. Teleport will cost 5m and will be available from Hotan teleport. Traders, hunters, and thief teleport to same area.

Job Temple unique will spawn every 4 hours after it is killed. The temple is just a new area with lvl 105 unique. This unique will not spawn any monsters; however it will have high hp and damage. The unique drops Job coins/immortal stones 10d/astral stones 10d. However, killing it will not be easy because you have to compete for it with the opposite jobbing class. Hunters and traders will try to ks thieves and kill thieves at same time.

The temple will have level 99 mobs in 4 different rooms. Each mob here has a high rate of Seal of Star drop.

Jobbing/Job coins
Jobbing is not only good for gold, but you earn Job coins which are used for obtaining SUN items. There are three jobs: traders, hunters, thief. Jobs will be like the old system. You join a class, make alias, and purchase suit. Job penalty is 24h. This is to prevent players from hopping from 1 job to another and cheating. Only Jangan and Hotan will be open locations with jobbing npc. This will increase activity in these areas and make jobbing challenging. Having Donwhang makes it too short length and easy. Traders can buy normal trans from stable or buy silk trans from item mall (if you want free silk you gotta wait until 100). As mentioned above, job rate is 5x, so gold is not the focus of these trades. It is Job coins. Traders, Hunters and Thief will receive 2x (star of trade) job coins. So 5 star trader will get 10 job coins on successful trade run. Thief return scrolls will have standard 5 mins delay time. All thief who are in party will receive job coins. Players who cheat the system by having multiple characters as hunters and traders or thief can be reported to GM and will be disciplined. Job coin SUN items are described below. We don’t want SUN items all around server, therefore it will be difficult to get them. But those who are active and do jobbing will be rewarded. Hundred 5 star trades will get traders a Sun weapon which is fair. Job coins cannot be traded.

Sox/100 items
Monsters 90-99 only drop normal items 90-99. For lvl 100 normal chest/legs/necklace players either need to kill 100 unique or job. Moon and Sun drops are completely disabled from monster drops. Monsters 90-100 will only drop Seal of Star items at lower rate than job temple.

Seal of star items can be upgraded to Moon items by alching them to +7 and using upgrade elixir. Upgrade elixir is sold at new NPC in Jangan and costs 5 CTF and 5 Arena coins with a probability rate of success at 25%. If you fail the upgrade then item is not destroyed or altered in any way. You just have to buy another upgrade elixir. Once you upgrade the Seal of Star +7 item, you will receive a Seal of Moon item in its place which will have 0% stats and will be +0.

Sun items can only be received from Job coins. SUN weapons/shield will be 1000 job coins. Equipment will be 500 job coins. Accessory will be 300 job coins. SUN items are NOT tradeable. You cannot put them into storage, guild storage, stall, drop or trade them. You can only sell them to npc if you choose to do so.

Events/Authority heirarchy
Server will have 2 GMs which will moderate everything and will be the only ones punishing players. It will have 2 GA who will oversee activities and report to GM if they observe any form of cheating. It will have 3 supporters who will help players by answering questions. Supports will only have a title but will not be any different from any other player and will not receive any rewards. In addition, supporters are required to report any form of cheating even if it their friend or guild/union mate. Refraining from doing do will strip them of their title and position. GA will be event managers. GM will not sell items or silk. 0 corruption.

Events will include Hide and seek, find and kill that lvl 1 unique, Protect GM, Last Man standing, Party Wars, PvP, Questionaires, etc. Some events can be made automatic by a bot. Players can suggest events also. Unique event is bad and only serves the purpose of plvling so there will be no unique event. Anyways only higher lvl players will take advantage of it.

PvP Event
Everonye loves a PvP event where players can show off their character and their skills. Players can teleport to PvP area (only 100). This event will only accept 64 players for each PvP event. PvP event will be announced by GM on server. The first 64 players that respond to GM will participate. PvP will involve only 1 round so put your best shoes forward. Winners from Round 1 will move on to next round which will have 32 players. Winners form round 2 will move to Round 3 which will have 16 players. Round 4 will have 8 players. Round 5 will have 4 players. Round 6 will have 2 players and round 7 will determine winner. PvP winner will receive 100 real silk. It will not happen every day, but when GM/GA notices that server is active they will have one. Since it is 6 rounds, the event will take a long time. Players will need to cooperate and remain in PvP area once they sign up. If you do not have patience then you will be disqualified.

Unique System
There will be total of 11 uniques across all map. Standard uniques are Tiger girl, Cerberus, Captain ivy, Urichi, Isytaru, Lord Yarkan, Demon Shaitan. 4 additional uniques will be added at lvl 10, 50, 70 and 100 as shown in map region. Uniques spawn every 3h after they are killed. Each unique can spawn anywhere in that region of the map (unlimited spots). Each Unique drops silk scrolls which add real silks to your account. Only Lvl 100 unique will drop 100 level normal items. Silk drops will be: Lvl 10=5 silk, tg=6 silk, cerb=7 silk, Ivy=8 silk, Uruchi=9 silk, lvl 50=10 silk, isy=11 silk, lvl 70=12 silk, Lord=13 silk, Demon=14 silk, lvl 100 unique=15 silk. All of these unqiues are normal and will spawn mobs. There are no titan uniques spawned in this server at all.



Medusa will spawn every 6h which means 4 times per day. Medusa will be lvl 100 and adjusted so it not overpowered. Medusa will drop 100 normal items, 1 Seal of Moon equipment/accessory, and give title Medusa Slayer. So it will be something players will want to focus. Jangan cave teleports will be at Jangan teleport.

Roc will spawn every day at a standard time. Players will need to buy the key of ROC sold at npc for 20m. Roc will be the strongest unique in server but it will again be adjusted to lvl 100 cap. It will be nearly impossible to kill it without good set and good number of party. However, Roc will reward players well also. Roc will drop 100 normal items, 1 Seal of Moon Weapon/shield, and give title ROC Slayer.

Silk per hour
Yes people want silk so that donators aren’t overpowered. Everyone will get 1silk/hr but only when they hit lvl 100. This will prevent botters from abusing the system. Also silk per hour is only 1 because there are other ways to earn real silk. IP limit will control too many accounts from abusing this and there will be other ways explained below.

Title system/New Quests
Titles need to be earned rather than given for free. There will 3 new quests that will help players receive SP and get a unique title. First quest will involve killing 1000 monsters which will give 100k sp and Slayer Title. Second quest will involve killing 2000 monsters and will give 200k sp with Assassin title. Third quest will involve killing 3000 monsters and will give 300k sp with Overkill Title. In total players can get 600k sp from these quests, so sp farming may be avoided at earlier levels. The monsters will range from 90-99 so that players can start quests at lvl 90. You can only do the next quest if you finish the first one. So if you want 200k sp, you need to first do 100k sp quest.
Titles can also be earned from title/zerk quests already from isro, Pvp event and killing Medusa and Roc.

New Area
Donwhang cave is not used as much because 60-80 monsters are found in taklamakan and ROC mountain. So donwhang cave will be filled with Jangan cave mobs to give players additional areas to lvl up. This cave will have monsters from lvl 90-99 which will allow them to do their sp quests. Jangan cave will stay the same. Remember that spawn rates will be 2x so that both areas will be good for lvling. Donwhang cave will be better for party. The teleport level to donwhang cave is 50. It will also be a good area to help plvl some guild/union mates.

Fortress War
FW will only take place at Hotan to maximize player involvement. FW will happen once per week on Sundays. It will last 2 hours. The winner will receive the gold from the tax. Unions who help guilds also should be rewarded. So GM will give half the gold earned to union leaders also. Characters who abuse FW with multiple characters, inactive bards following them, etc will be banned for 3 days by GM.

Guild/Union Limit
Guilds will have 32 players and everyone in guild will be given union chatting ability. It sucks when only 10 players have that authority. There is 24h Guild penalty. Union limit will be 2. This will not overpower 1 union over another. Most servers either have 1 strong union or 2. We want there to be multiple strong unions fighting for power. Also, it will make FW, unique party, Job Wars very interesting.

Donators vs. non donators
All items can be earned ingame from uniques, free-silk npc, and silk/hr. Therefore, donators only get advantage of receiving the items faster.

IP limit
Players can make 3 characters because this is the ip limit.

Illegal activity forbidden
Any illegal activity can be reported on forums and GM will decide what to do. Typical punishment will be 1 day ban for FW abuse and language, 7 day ban for botting abuse, permanent ban for anything else bad.

As you noticed there is lot of events that require players to hit the maximum level. This is to make these events fair for all players. We know that most people will be botting anyways to level up so that is why all of these events have lvl 100 requirement. Jobbing and CTF can be done at any time. You may ask why not make server instant lvl 100? I think many people enjoy the lvling up phase of the game. Also, this will control botters and cheating because events require lvl 100.

why not? It is not that difficult to do if you knew how to code. Anyways I suggested idea because I feel like all private servers are not creative. They are the same and no one is trying to make it active. Active doesnt mean 1x rates or no free silk/hr etc. Any server will have goldbots but for this you need to do Jobbing, kill uniques/job uniques, CTF, BA, and job war. Someone mature and professional can only attempt this because of the complexity but this will guarantee a great server

Doesnt seem to me that you have ever hosted your own server (no offense) but nothing you described would work. When you'll be hosting your own server, when youre going to be analyzing everything you'll truly understand what makes a server "perfect". I could share some of the "rules" of what makes it successful but I dont really feel that beating a dead horse is going to help anyone.

Theres rules and theres solutions to make those rules successful.

for me it should have 110 cap to be perfect. Also i don't see the point of 220 mastery for euro at cap 100 . Even the perfect server can fail if the team behind the server is full of idiots.

this is just an idea. I mean whoever tackles this project can honestly choose whatever cap they want. (80, 90, 100, 110, 120). They just need to make the server based on activity, which means CTF, BA, Jobbing, JOB war, uniques, etc.

Venture was based on activity, but with no bot ppl didn't joined. Lvling up wasn't even that much of a big deal... Gm's were pro, stable server and all that.

As long as u can get suns from boting and with a good rate server is awesome, if u have to work for your items (fgw/ba/trades/uniques) they won't like it. ofc u'll find 30 guys that will like it , but that's just a small % of the number a server should have.

No1 likes full sun servers, but if u join a server where u get end-game items hard ppl will quit if some1 else get's it and u knows u have to w8 1 more month for the same ****.

I didn't play on many pservers because i don't like playing with 200 ppl online , and the only ones who hit 800+ were 11dg where novas were dropping like 7-8/24h. ofc for egy sets u had to go temple and from 1k players there where no more than 3 pt's in job temple. Those svrs didn't even had free silk dropping, or any features, and still ppl were having fun.

You missed some servers then.
The last 3 servers which I was involved in all hit the 1000 player mark and were either 80 or 90 cap with endgame content and items which were hard to get (job system)

If you allow bots and multiclients, 1000 players doesn't mean a thing, and there is no hard to get endgame content, as you're not the one playing

I guess that's his problem, there is a big difference between playing with 999 bots or 99 legitimate players, but I guess that problem is never going to be fixed

This is extremely difficult i could see myself being able to do something.
First of all its not programming
cause all one would do is change data around in the database and client
it would take one person maybe 2 month or even more to finish this

this is way too much change

if you are serious you will need a team of like 10 people

Honestly you dont need to make the same server, but I want to share some ideas I think are not explored by other servers. You can take 1 or 2 or all ideas and make your server.

Also, I understand perfection is subjective, but from what I hear from most people, no one likes a server where SUN is dropping from mobs. That's why I included SoX drops from mobs which can be upgraded to SoM. That keeps the botters happy. But for SUN you gotta work and again I made sure I included multiple ways to get Job Coin. CTF/BA has a purpose now because the tokens are used for upgrading SoX. Uniques have a purpose. ROC and Medusa has a purpose. Basically, I tried to give every part of the game a purpose, rather than leaving it just for fun.
