Assuming this server opened on 1st of April, It's supposed to make over a 100$ excluding the charges made by the merchandise server before the 15th April only to get the money on the 15th of May and from 16th to 30th of April same story until they get paid on 31st of May and in case it's less than 100$ they're not paid at all and their protection costs 200$ and their dedicated server is around 135$ plus if they are spending any extra money for advertisements, paying team members and so on. Keep in mind that they paid a huge setup cost which they need to retain and some servers don't even retain their setup cost and die.
I used to think like you until I ended up opening a server and only then I figured out why people like who I used to be in the past and people like you piss the owners off.
In conclusion, servers need to sell items, virtual currencies or whatsoever to survive and as long as the server is not selling the end-gear, you can NOT call it Pay2Win.

the thing is if the server makes fun like ecsro did in the past people will donate for stuff like avatars etc but nowadays all are scared to donate cuz every server is going to close after 2 weeks or max 1 month so u donated for nothing .... but if u can be sure and if u are sure that the server will hold for a long term ur going to donate so the server costs wont be the reason why servers closing ....
ill try it and see how long the server will be alive
