They can be corrupted and they can have viruses.

The viruses just don't get activated, but you can export one to a pk2.

when you first open the program you must click on the middle of it,then open your pk2 and click on english patch

Nope, you can't. There is no exe loading in silkroad.
You can only implement it in an external program.

It can be done without an external program. For example, when you try open the .rar archiv, some kinda of a virus can be loaded.

Nope, you can't. The paths to the files in the PK2 are encrypted btw, so it wouldn't know where to find the virus.

So yes, it is possible to activate malware in a pk2 WITH an external program.
And no, it is NOT possible to activate malware in a pk2 WITHOUT an external program.

Internal program: a silkroad exe made by joymax (sro_client/silkroad/SilkErrSender/Replacer)

External program: an exe made by a user that opens a pk2 and activates a virus.
