Maybe you have a virus slowing your internet connection?
Or maybe it's just a problem with the server itself being too far away from you
or just having lag at the moment or maybe your isp is doing maintaince
or having issues?
there's just too much stuff that can cause lag, the only things I can advice you to do are:
- Make sure all internet cables are working fine
- Close all programs using internet connection (like you did ...)
- Check your isp's homepage to see if they are having issues at the moment
- Check the server's homepage if they are having problems
- Ask friends if they have any lag problems at the moment
I think you already knew all this, but those are the only things I can come up with at the moment...
