Rage Zone forums doesn't work now. I attached file Twilight posted some time ago. There is a tool to edit *.svmap files.

Try to start Session. If it won't turn from paused to on, even for a short while, then you don't have connection to SQL database at all. This problem is so old and so common that I don't even want to start solving it.

My tutorial works, with errors some encountered I wanted to be sure. I deleted everything, including Windows (figures) and started from scratch. Everything installed, no errors, no problems, just as the tutorial says.

However, I'll be a nice guy for change and give you few tips:

1) DO, and I mean it. Do go through the tutorial and check everything. EVERYTHING. One single option can stop you from connecting.
2) It's silly, but what's your name when you use SQL Server Management Studio Express? When you login, is it ... let's say my PC's name is TOMMO ... so .. when I login it's TOMMO or is it like ... TOMMO\SQLEXPRESS ??
2nd means, named instance. Easy to solve. Tcp/Ip protocol, set static TCP port.

Download ... *.svmap file and copy the maps to ... SHAIYA_SERVER\SERVER\PSM_Client\Bin\Data\Map.

The files is available in my tutorial. Sesion starts, this means you have connection to database. You probably have the same problem as EmOO did.

Neither do I. It never was my priority. Not runing any server and I move using /cmove /bmove

Just to let every one know,

ProfNerwosol tutorials work 100%.

However, the maps if your looking for jungle, DD1/2, etc you will need to downlosd these maps from another post on this site and add them to your Map folder.

Once added they work fine.

I am trying se the last version of game.exe of US Server.
and when i choose the Server, i get this error:

Client version doesn't match!

but i already have used the command:
/vchkoff

somebody can tell me how solve this problem.
what game.exe you guys are using ?

The standard US client version works for me.

When you type /vchkoff what message do you get after?

I followed The tutorial 4 times to be exact.
All looks good all services start all Items running.
I can connect to login and login with admin username and pass then it shows gameserver list i choose server and try to connect it says cannot connect to game server?

When i run the Server Patch Config It says everything is fine... But
When i run the included Batch File i get...
The shaiya_server service is starting.
The shaiya_server services could not be started.

The service did not report an error.

The shaiya_serverf service is starting.
The shaiya_serverf could not be started.

The service did not report an error. the all other services start successfully...

Running XP MCE with SP3 and all available updates.

Have you using game.exe too ?
if yes, have you edited only IP ?

Try look in Log files:
PSM_Client\Bin\Log
1. Shutdown all services
2. enter in Log Folder
3. delete all files
4. start all services
5. now look in all log files, and if some file have error mensage, paste here, to we help you.

It seem to be a problem with my network i can log in from the computer running the server. no firewall or antivirus software installe on it. must be my router forwarding ports.

Need ports used by Shaiya and MSSQL for server.
And can anybody tell me how to change admin username and pass.
And tell me how i can change EXP Rate.

1. Allow access extern:
Open = PSM_Client\Bin\Config\ps_game.ini
Edit this line with your IP = ( GamePublicIP=YourIP )
Put IP Network to access only Network
Put IP Internet to access extern

2. use this WebRegister:

and to edit, go:
PS_userdata > Tables > dbo.Users_Master

3. In Server Path Config:
Click right-button in Game Service > Command
type:
/exp2xenable 100 to 100x
I Think that this 100x is in Double, then is value 100x in really is 200x

Thank you for all your replies.
i can connect from the local network now but my Toon is transparent and it disconnects every 20 seconds or so.
But i can log right back in any idea what that might be?

[Edit] Got the disconnect fixed seems it was the nprotect i guess you have to enter those commands every time the server resets..

But i am still Transparent with no name over my head LOL
