Change Level Cap
Hey everyone, I have been receiving some PMs regarding the change on level cap for servers, as there are still some people that like to do things themselves, and not simply take something that has been already done -something that I love to see, actually- so here is a little something for those who like experimenting with this stuff.
All you need is a Hex Editor, as  and don't forget to make back-ups of your ps_game.exe.
Now, with any Hex editor, open the ps_game.exe (don't try with the game.exe as this is not stored client side, obviously) and all you need to do is look for the following addresses:
- 0x000540C7
- 0x000540F7
- 0x00054127
- 0x000547A1
- 0x000547D3
- 0x00054805
- 0x00058187
- 0x0005826F
- 0x00058342
- 0x000583D3
- 0x00072034
- 0x000831E5
- 0x0008AEEB
- 0x0008AF17
When you find these addresses (one-by-one), on the Hexadecimal part, look for the value 3C if you have a ps_game with level cap of 60, or 46 (again Hexadecimal) if you have a ps_game with a level cap of 70 and so on....
So, all you will need to do is change the value that you find on those offsets to the equivalent on Hexadecimal of the value you want to have as level cap on your server.
As a little note -and for every single person that likes doing experiments- the maximum you can go through (not tested yet, this is based on theory) would be 255.
Just remember, for this to work when it comes to level up and such, you need to do the needed fixes on the database, this under PS_GameDefs, on the ExpDefs and StatusDefs.

What I have checked regarding HP Cap is that the maximum we can get is what is out there (65k) because that is the maximum we can have for the Hexadecimal value of it (FF FF); yet, if I am mistaken and anyone has any valuable information regarding this, I would appreciate if either that information is released, or at least provided for testing purposes.

Theoretically, it is possible to do such thing; yet, it would be needed to develop new content for the game, such as skills, sets, mobs, maps and everything this would include (quests, for example) which, taking into account that just a few have fixed EP5 skills correctly, is far from happening.

i think there was one server out there that had that kind of high level but not fixed the stuff that john said. but as far as i kn ow there was atleast a server that worked with that.

The highest level that has been out so far (that I know about) was up to level 90, completely unfinished as expdefs and statusdefs were not fixed, but haven't seen anything above that being released

hey first beta day spanky shaiya max level was 120 <.<''' but the expdefs wasnt done tho then it was change to level 80....

mh well it was called Shaiya Angel and Dragons and u lvled while pvping up to that lvl but yh it was nothing fixed so.

I keep reading my post and fail to find anything related to level 90 o.O , was asking it because it might help others to understand how things work and if you ask me the more ppl know how to do this things for themselves the more chances of more releases popping out around here, ofk now i'm just generalising but i guess "Two heads are better then one" wasn't said for nothing. Anyways though it might be a good idea for ppl to help themselves.
