I'm not saying it's easy.. But my dad work for a software company that i'm not allowed to name apparently and i asked him and he laughed and said that on a daily basis he gets anywhere from 90'000 to 113'000 threats and the computer blocks them all as they come..

No clue what he's using or how it works as i work in the oil field and my knowledge about computer software isn't that extensive.. However it seems pretty straight forward..

Proxy or not.. a ip that hacks appears and gets deleted and archived.. another appears and gets deleted and archived and so on and so forth.

IP Block doesnt work on Rohan.
Even if you block IP via Programms or Firewall its the same.
If you Block one IP, change it with Proxie & you are able to Connect again and so on...

if it is a large software company, i would guess it is the corporate firewall that is blocking those. corporate firewalls are whitelist-access only and everything else is blocked. the only thing that can squirrel past those is a trojan brought in by its employees who like to frequent **** sites opening a door. most large software companies are extremely strict on maintaining constant malware scans and workstation firewalls to stop that kind of thing. as well there is the corporate firewall traffic monitoring.

but a game server isn't gonna have any of that stuff because they want players to connect to them. that's why crackers love game servers. easy targets.

So how do you block hacking ?
Ignore the players IP.. how do you prevent a hack from taking place without blocking the user ?

In other words.. he can connect, but his hacks don't work

So why is it people complain about anti-hack not working because they can simply change ip and hack some more. When the anti-hack is supposed to block the hack itself ?

what you describe is a simple ip blocker. that is not an antihack. it is not even a firewall.

antihacks don't care about ip addresses. they only care about the messages received by the server and filter out the bad ones that a hacker may have modified. how well it does that job is what determines if an antihack is good one or it sucks.

again, you don't need to be a software wiz to know that.

that maroki here has to resort to banning country-wide ip ranges tells me he has either a ****-poor antihack system or none at all (most likely).

ip blockers vs firewalls vs antihack systems is not a Rohan-only concern. it is a concern to anybody that puts any kind of server on the internet.

We apologies to new and old players of Q5K R.O.H.A.N. we halt the server operation due to lack of players and since the server is local hosted only we experienced intermittent connection with our isp provider and continues power interruption in our city. Hope if the Q5K ROHAN will come back again with new better server hosting and support.
