just as an fyi I have an acct at bwg and intend to check it out with some friends. im gonna check out rohan2 as well if they give me a key or wait til it opens if they dont.

I'm also downloading the offy client so I can see the new stuff on irohan too. been talking to a friend and it seems they are changing some of their policies to compete better with pservers. i will find out.

those that are there on cbt expect to get wiped before they obt. At present nobody has given them donations so who cares if they do wipe. we all know that we are testing the server and yes, it will go up and down as they add stuff to it and fix things.

Really bud, if you still don't get what private servers are all about you should think about avoiding them.

i don't know why they still call it cbt if they are letting anybody at all play on it - that's not my idea of 'closed' either.

meh, its their server and they can call it anything they want.

just as a personal observation, i don't consider a cbt a 'beta' test at all. it is nothing more than a limited alpha test. cbt is the first time more than the devs are doing any testing -- if any. many devs i know don't bother to do more than simple, quick focused testing on their changes. they expect others to provide feedback to them. hence to me cbt is nothing more than an alpha test and obt is the only beta test that happens.

Close Beta is mostly used to snipe out the main problems that might force devs to remove all the characters.I dont think starting a server on obt without a cbt test will help too much cuz for example characters get ****** by some bug and it's obt (You said no wipe on obt) What will players do?
