As far as I remember speeding the mine-interval is also just possible to a certain point(it's basically to tell the server you're at a different location like the core and you'll mine faster) well I never worked too much with mining as I always saw it as kinda useless so I'm not too sure .

are you saying that its also possible to mine +4 ore at the portal if ure going to tell the server that ure in the core???
this is soooo possible and infact there is already a tutorial on how you can mine +4 ores on the Crag Portal... It's sticked on the Tutorial section...
