8.2/8.3/9.1 Monsters he likely speaks of UG, Carnival which are to my knowledge both instanced so spawning via .NFS is not going to help him at all.

He needs to learn how to setup the instance tables.

Doesn't sound like it. Sounds like instances are driven directly from the table information itself as they are called.
