Download Newest Server Files [Find the link yourself]

Download Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Install [Find the link yourself]
- During installation make sure to do a "NAMED INSTANCE"
- During installation make sure to set MIXED AUTHENTICATION and SET A PASSWORD
- After installation open SQL Server Configuration Manager
- In the config manager click the + beside SQL Server Network Configuration
- Double click Protocols for "YOUR_SERVER_NAME"
- You will see Shared Memory, Named Pipes, TCP/IP make sure all are "Enabled"
- Right click TCP/IP and click properties
- Click the second tab and scroll to the bottom, change the dynamic port to 1433
- Open Windows Advanced Firewall (Root Hosts/PC Hosts normally require Port Forwarding <--- I won't help here)
- Click "Inbound Rules" click "New Rule" and open Port 1433 for TCP and name it "Databases" {LEAVE Firewall open will need again}

Extract previously downloaded "Newest Server Files" to your Desktop or Documents folder
- Located "DB or Database Backup" folder inside extracted files
- Relocate the DB backups to the root of your main hard-drive e.g. C:\
- Open Sql Server Management Studio
- Login with windows Authentication make sure it says (local)\your_server_name
- Right click Databases on the left hand tree, click "Restore Database"
- Restore all three databases in this fashion
- Double click "Security" on the left hand tree and then right click "Logins" and click "New Login"
- Set the desired name and click "Sql Authentication" bubble and type in a Mixed Cased Alphanumeric password e.g. THISisMYpassWORD265221 (Use DES Generator to create DES version -- will be used for gs/as opt)
- Uncheck Password Expiration
- Create a unique name and password for each database in this fashion
- After all three names have been created then right click the arcadia database and click properties
- Click "Files" on the left hand tree and in the box title "Owner" to the right click the "..."
- Now browse for the username that is relevant to the database and select it as the owner

Navigate to your extracted server files and open the following three files AuthServer.opt/GameServer.opt/UploadServer.opt and open RappelzCompress.exe
** I personally use both Intype and Notepad++ **
- Bring AuthServer.opt to focus
- Copy the spoiler information and complete the required fields
Note: It would be wise to use a completely MD5 Key, which can also be alphanumeric!

- When done editing all three files, save each and then open the folder of your server files and drag each file atop of RappelzCompress.exe (DO NOT CLICK OK UNTIL LAST FILE IS DROPPED ON COMPRESSOR)

Return to Windows Firewall and click "New Rule" Create rules for the following ports:
- 8841 (This is the only port your auth server will accept connections on) TCP
- 4504 (This is the only port your game server will accept connections on) TCP
- 4615 (Upload -- Guild Icon Port) TCP
- 4617 (Upload -- Guild Icon Port) TCP

At this point you should be done, I will be providing you with the Start.BAT arguments (which can be used in launchers) that enable guild icons

NOTE: This guide only supports the use of the ports included by default, change at your own risk!
