Lol,I have no DirectX problem,I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and I'm using 5.5 Fix.

Tried compatibility mode with XP SP3?

Of course. I have a big graphical lag with it.

Hmm... pretty strange. For me there is no lags,even I'm on very crappy,single core PC ^^(new PC on it's way since sold my x360 elite ;D)

What's your operation system? Windows Vista/7 or older?

Win 7. I had this problem in the past (good old ECSRO times lol).

ps: its not a typical lag, the game freezing in every 5-10th seconds ("lag spike") but for only 1 second. I hate it.

Hey Sray. I think i know what your talking about. Im using Windows 7 Ultimate and how you describe the FPS lag spike sounds like what i get too. Unfortunately this cannot be fixed in the media.pk2. It's the operating system running in compatability mode trying to emulate windows xp settings to run the game.

What happens when i get the FPS lag spike is or starts off as a small FPS drop every 5-6 seconds and after 20 -30 mins running SRO it increase to a big FPS drop which actually looks like the screen freezes which then occurs ever 4 seconds.
Only way i know how to fix this with a simple fix is just delete everything in your SWSRO directory and install everything again.
Fixes it but somtimes comes back.

Also ive downloaded "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)" from Microsoft download centre.
That has all the DX9 files all updated to June2010. As i believe Windows 7 dosn't have a complete set of DX9 files. ive installed this and now so far i havn't got the FPS lag spike. so try tht n see if it solves u prob too

Tried it but same happening atm too..Its a launcher problem, somebody modified the ecsro one in the past (that was on the epvp forum).
