when i restore the .bak files i get an error...  i change msq from 2005 -> 2008 but same error

Are u sure your upgrade done successful ?
Also did u download sql server 2008 r2?

what about the old server (sql server 2005)?
Also u maybe wrong about that cuz u can use sql server management studio 2008 on sql server 2005 , Also u may setup both servers at same time , so sql server 2008 take another name (not same like sql 2005 ~ and i mean server name) and u was still connecting to sql server 2005 via ur management studio 2008 ,,
Check out u must missing something cuz the dbs don't have any problems .
