Serenity WoW is a blizzlike server with basically just the xp rates increased to x10.
We do have some minor custom items added, but none that will affect anything gameplay-wise.
Examples of custom items: Server Rulebook, 36 slot bag.
There are no overpowered bullshit items for people that donate, everyone has equal chances.

At Serenity WoW we asked retail players what a private server would need to keep the actual World of Warcraft feeling.
Some common answers were: Pre-Cataclysm, dont make equipment easy to get, do not boost honor points too much, keep a good market on the server.

So this is what we started working with, especially the market part. We want our players to group up, raiding dungeons and instances for their equipments. We like seeing people think of ways to make money (crafting, gathering, farming etc...)

What we WILL do is a so called "Everlasting World Event".
This is linked to our Auction House.
Every now and then a Gamemaster will put some nice stuff on the Auction House for affordable prices. Again this will not be overpowered stuff but existing items created by Blizzard.

Along the way you will find some interesting community contests on our website which can yield some awesome rewards ingame for doing something completely non-WoW related.
Of course we will also have some PvP events.

To make a long story short... we are creating a place where everyone can have a great time! Hardcore WoW players will be treated with exciting high-level events, while players that are totally new to the game can earn their rewards in our events that are designed specifically for the lower levels.
