1. You need to download MSSQL (the best is Mssql 2000)
2. You need the server files

(this is 1st ver of server and have bug with diffrent ver, etc and in is trojan so don't download this one if u don't need to)

4.You need KalOnline Server List Changer

OK! Let's start.

1. SQL:
1. If you installing sql set it to mixed mode (it is very important!)
2. Create in sql new database (kal_db and kal_auth)
3. Restore database from files in kalonline server (in db folder)

2. ODBC:
1. Open in Control Panel -> Administration Tools -> ODBC
2. Choose system DNS
3. Create new... (name: kal_db ; server:localhost ; next... ; choose database: kal_db)
4. Do same with kal_auth

3. Server:
1.

If it is your 1st time then just run all .exe files in server folder.
2. After you run AuthSvrT.exe you'll see message box with login and pass, enter there your login (default: sa) from sql and pass (you had to write it when you installing sql).
3. Run DBSvrT.exe
4. Run MainSvrT.exe (If all is OK then you should see: Server is ready on port 30001 , if not then you'll see red error message)

4. Account:
1. Open sql Query and past this:

SET IDENTITY_INSERT Login On

INSERT INTO Login
&#40;UID, ID, PWD, Birth, Type, ExpTime&#41;
VALUES &#40;'1', 'test123', 0x3A3A3A3A, '19190101', '0', '4000'&#41;

SET IDENTITY_INSERT Login Off

1. (Don't forget set database to kal_auth!)
2. Login: test123 Pass: 1111 (we know that is working and until server work normaly we don't care about that pass... thx to sspon we know that 3A=1)

# How to connect:

1. You need client (since few last updates your client will crash after u want to connect to priv server, so you need older ver of client)
2. Change IP (if u have to) in client witk KOSLC (copy it to your KalOnline client folder or it won't work)
3. Make .bat file in client folder and past this:

 engine.exe /load /config debug

4. Run .bat file (don't run kalonline.exe!!!)

# ERRORS:

1. Server stuck at "etc"
* Download NEW server
2. Guild; GuildMember etc...
* Change in sql varchar to nvarchar
* Delete all from tables
3. Wrong Pass:
* You enter wrong value in query!
* Or you just enter wrong nuber of "1" should be more then 3

Hi,

very nice to see a pserver for kalonline. I have followed the steps and nearly all works, but:
If if start MainSvrT.exe there is a red error message "can't get Item ID".

Auth server and Database server runs fine. Hope you can help me with this error.

Edit: This is the error:

The db tables seems to be empty is that ok? And/or what does the error mean?

What i have to do here:

3. Create new... (name: kal_db ; server:localhost ; next... ; choose database: kal_db)
4. Do same with kal_auth

in step 3. i can creat many new things, what i have to select there? SQL Server, SQL NativeClient or what?

All Servers run fine but when i try to login (login work) i see the picture with the door and then nothing happen...???

wo ist das ODBC ???? hilfe

steht da doch nur auf english

1. Open in Control Panel -> Administration Tools -> ODBC

das heißt:
Systemsteuerung -> Verwaltung -> Datenquellen( ODBC )

brauchst aber nich machen weil das im moment eh noch nich funzt,
wenn man auf einloggen klickt, geht das login feld weg und der läd nicht weiter,
wahrscheinlich ein fehler im server, kann aber auch die datebase sein.
weiß bist jetzt noch keiner.

Natürlich weiss man wo der fehler liegt, die DB in der alle informationen zum Char wie Items, Weapons usw. abgelegt werden ist noch nicht verfügbar

tagchen.
bin zur zeit dabei mich damit mal zu befassen.
und hab da ein kleines problem bezüglich der SQL
ist er unbedingt erforderlich die Mssql 2000 zu nutzen oder geht auch eine andere?
auf dem gleichen server habe ich noch einen apache mit mysql laufen wegen meiner website.
