How much costs?
 

Hello everyone, i never owned a server and never asked anyone this kind of informations, but i would like to "try" to have my own server just for fun, for first i would like to know how much costs to make a server from 0, prices of a developer, patches etc, i'm mostly interested in a EP 5.4, how much cost a good host etc

well i guess you understood what i meant

if anybody is so kind to give an explanation about all this, i would appreciate it alot

In my opinion to lower all the costs you will need "Time". Make sure you have enough time to understand all the process unless you want to hire devs.

Server files Setup, Game Client Modification parts won't costs much because you can get all for free here. Making a good server will cost you around 500 usd a month. Including server costs, staffs etc.

But like I said to lower all the cost you might need to take sometimes to learn how everything works. I myself did created servers by my own (only dev) with GSs.

You have any idea of how much a good and trusted dev could cost nowadays?

My idea is just to create a server, pay who i have to pay, i'm the owner but other ppl works to keep it on etc.. we can decide what to change, what patches or changes we can do
i'm most likely the one who has the money, and can keep it up without any donation, ofcourse it's a dream to see someone it's really interested in donating, paying the host etc monthly just for donation it's already a good thing, well who knows, i'll see what i can do and decide after, waiting for you answer, really appreciated it.

My dear, I left Shaiya community for 7 years ago. This is the first time and the first post I made after many years. The reason I'm back is because of region I've moved and get into the community again.

So my answer would be "I don't know" because I've been gone for too long.

Currently I'm trying to develope a 4.5/5.x server by my own again which I've done for 7 years ago. You might get someone from the community if you post something (hiring) idk. It's worth a try if you haven't done that yet.

If you want to ask "working" together with you and me.. I will say IDK bro. I've been gone for too long and trying to set things up again will take sometimes to catch up new things not "Newbie things".

and well.. as i told you i'm not really experienced either, i took many breaks from the game aswell, but i would like to try to see what it comes out
