yesterday my guildmate got hacked and uni member too -.-
i remember seeing a similar thread here before acusing db-bot

i also think it's db-bot or maybe even the crack everything is possible :/

i didn't download anything except the offical thread bot and crack and neither did they,
actually i never got hacked so chill out there is a possibility that this is db-bot's fault and therefore it's a serious matter because of the fact that 99% on pservers use it :S

And I did NOT change PW.

I'm using db-bot all the time,0.8 and 0.9a + cracks from Jamalauta.
Never stepped into any stupid sroevent.tk site or freesilks.tk

sad you got hacked, but hacks in silkroad mostly depend on the wrong behaviour of the accounts owners.
everybody should decide on their own on what to do, if you're getting hacked it might have been due to anything.
requesting a close, since discussions about being hacked do not have any sense.

omg this is useless i'm trying to get the word out for people to be more carefull when using db-bot and cracks but u guys can't even read english and u just act like wanna be mods(you know who i'm talking to)...

No I haven't been hacked in Swsro.
I always scan everything I dl.
And if I think that I need to check it by myself, I check it.

They probably had a virus from before, and some1 just waited to get the jackpot.

[Happened once in ECSRO that some1 sended viruses that just few antivirs could detect, and he/she hacked them loong after he/she sended/shared/gave viruses]

Probably your account was already in hacked list, it's just the hacker has not yet checked your account ;)

yeah he is right 50% of the uni got hacked... and ofc they wont hack everyone that would be suspicious they hack only people with full sos much gold and silk items....

well i've analyzed noex crack quite a lot and in the 0.9a crack he even disabled the connection to the auth server of sro-db.

you can easily check that by running a packetlogging tool.

if u're using older versions of his crack (like the 0.8 crack) the authserver connection still exists, but the only thing that gets send to the sro-db server is the hashed charname.
its not possible to get hacked by this information.

so after all i can say that its NOT possible to get hacked by using the cracked db-bot (unless u're downloading some trojan "cracks", which have been posted quite a lot in the last few days).

I was one of the guys that got stripped of gold some suns and silk , I made a thread sometime ago but no one gaved it any attention...
So guessing lolkops is 100% true and sure about it then its Maya s fault with the sro key team -.-

i used to think that db-bot is safe and that some noobs just downloaded third party bot+crack, but after my guildmaster got hacked while using only the bot from stickied threads i'm kinda concerned about my account

maybe it's true and they just wait for people to get full sos to hack them :/

i'm a coder and i don't know that much about packets(i only studied drew's "Silkroad Security" pdf but hat was ages ago XD) but if u say it's safe i believe you :)

No one gives a damn if you get hacked. Plenty of people use the LEGIT sro db without getting hacked, its just your issue for downloading some BS crack from some guy with 1 post. Its your fault for using bad programs

well..i NEVER was hacked... hold on!! wait.. i don't play sro.. well.. ok.. that explains all :D

i guess nobody bought it. a couple of accounts get hacked, and voilá...you got 100 new customers paying that amount of money to "save" their items.

this is my theory about this hacking issue.

if anyone used the autologin from the bot they will get hacked like i did. Just ask maya to change your pw if u got all the info and sweet talk him lol.

You dont check it.
More than 50 peoples got hacked and maybe from the same Persons.
They take only the expensive thinks like sos/Gold/Silk Items.
I got hacked too, they took sos spear and the gold and left +5 FB Garment Set back...
The only thing i downloaded is the new sro-db bot, maybe there is a trojan.
Just be attented! They are Pros.

lol as i allready said. the bot only connects to the authserver. it sends ur hashed charname to the server to check if the charname is regged @ sro-db.

• fact nr.1: its not possible to hack ur account by knowing ur charname (unless u're using the charname as id and pw :P)
• fact nr.2: the newer botcracks like the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] by noex or my [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] (which works for all versions released before the 0.9c bot) are removing the connection to the sro-db server totally.
• fact nr.3: the autologin doesn't send anything to any server so rumors that ppl get hacked by it are lies

if you think about those 3 facts u'll see that noone can get hacked by using the db bot (doesn't matter if its cracked or payed)

if i didnt get hacked by db bot then it had to be a gm that changed pw. I dl nothing strange so dont say "maybe you dl this that/visit this that site"

Is everything on your computer related to sro? Maybe it wasnt a program from SRO

But with all this lolkop´s facts, we still the same, without even dreaming whats causing this, unless the theory of the anti-hack serial that makes perfect sense to me to.

But if everyone get the anti hack serial the business will get killed anyway, because people secure the object and after that you dont need to "ensure" it anymore, it will be allways yours, so people start to be "unhackable", and than what they gonna do? lol the server will reset accidently and all char information go back before the update, and than there they are back in business... wooow what a creppy vision i have :X
