OK guys this is getting out of hand. to all of those out there who havent been following the news. apparently there is a threat to all forums from EPVP to MM. i know im sound like im trying to scare you but its time for news. over the past few days, MM(mabimods) has been getting random accounts added. these accounts belong to a single or a group of people who soul purpose is to destroy all modding.

It is our goal to erase all Hackers and Modders from Erinn! MABINOGI SHALL BE FAIR AND CLEAN AGAIN!

Thanks to certain actions, we managed to gain access to 27 main accounts of Hackers and Modders. In the next few hours, that Number will greatly increase and we are hereby announcing that we will delete all Human, Elf, Giant, and Animal Characters on those Accounts in the first 10-20 minutes of 2010.

Also, we will soon post the URL to our new site. That site will be dedicated to the elimination of Hackers and Modders and to thank Nexon and DevCat for everything they've done for us.

Additionally, we are proud to announce that there are some important and famous Hackers and Modders among those 27 main accounts. For example, we got Kevsprk, Dark Raccoon, Halfslashed, and some others.

Thats it for now, dear Players! Lets work together to clean Mabinogi and eliminate that scum!

Sounds like there are some keyloggers out there, this makes me fairly curious who's been automatically determined as a hacker and/or modder. Although, Kevsprk should post on here since they did seem to mention him in the post. Hell, I think their justice is a little funny. I bet I'm a "evil one" as well when I've done very little to violate the ToS, I actually just post here for the hell of it and provide commentary more than anything else.

dont know. but im not trying to scare anybody. i just feel that even this forum has the right to know. lemu and MM already have this stuff posted on it. IDK about epvp

I find this incredibly funny because the majority of mabinogi modders are not gamebreakers. They just have tiara and MAMP with some minor .dll edits at best. Fail more guys. For the record, I am a modder and I say fuck the order.

I think you would be fine if you just killed the processes and deleted the file, then changed your passwords

I recommend everyone change their passwords, even if you think you removed the keylogger before typing in anything confidential.

For any of you who think The Order isn't something to scare off the mabi modding community, I suggest you fuck off and stop modding if you believe that load of shit. I've discussed the matter with a few higher ups and we already know it's bullshit.

The Order is just a bunch of bawwwwwwwww babies or butthurt noobs who hate mods that give the upper hand, as fenrir basically stated.

Also, there is NO issue, and if they really made you that paranoid, please do change your passwords. The point of the statement made by whoever "The Order" is was basically to scare people into not modding anymore, which never works.

Hahah let me clarify. I would like a link to an infected so I can analyze it to see what email/ip address the information is getting sent to.

No, just don't download anything new and if you do, get it from someone you can trust. If the file looks suspicious, ask someone. Also, you can compare the file size with someone else. If there is a difference, and it's big, it's more than likely keylogged.

Read this as a warning to all modders out there. D.L what you know from people that can be trusted. look at the post and the joining date. try to wait till an admin or somebody else can verify cause you can d.l something malicious.
