so you havent xp? then you cannot know whether it is the problem.
rather not killing aegis than killing it! it is not necessary and increases the detection risk

i have xp on my 2. Pc here so i can tray it on Vista and xp

to kill aegis has the effect for me that i still gets a trial detect, but i deasnt get a ban thoug the detect

So I didn't know about the update, and tried to use it once. Got detected, as I was fumbi'ing. Came and read. Found out XP gets detected. I get back on s4 the second time, no IM, and I don't use other hacks. Then I get banned till 8/1/11 for "multiple hacking trials"?! ._.

Dann kannst du dem Spiel per Klick auf Start Joinen

Inventory ausziehn, oder Raum leaven und im Inventar dein IM profil neu machen

also bei mir kommt immer x-trap..
ich starte IM und dann s4 und dann kommt kurz schwarzes bild und dann steht da i-was mit xtrap das er was gefunden hätte und so dies das...

i have win xp prof. 32 bit and it works without any problems (xtrap, aegis, hgwc running)

This reminds me of that utterly stupid port issue that xtrap had a while back. People getting kicked left and right regardless of whether they were actually hacking or not. Took them a month+ to "fix" it...ah, good times, good times.

Regarding Aegis, what role does it actually play? Isn't it just part of the mess that cloaks the client, and so not even related to the problem?

And finally, in my experience using Restore before switching channels/servers is only necessary if you have AP-skinned weapons. In the couple of times I accidentally switched without restoring, it didn't error out or anything; my stuff just reverted to default skins.
That's not to say that you shouldn't do it anyway, to be safe; you should. Just don't flip out and think you're going to get pwnt by xtrap in five seconds if you slip up and forget, and if you DO get caught by xtrap, don't blame it completely on yourself, as they seem to be passing out detections rather freely these days.


Sm!th, what are your computer's full specs? Do you run anything else that might be making xtrap more tame? Do you keep Windows 100% up to date (service packs, security updates etc)?

i am sure, this time it is something similar!
aegis just protects the game client before xtrap is launched.
aegis was only created because of those shitty string trainers, they wrote into the memory before xtrap loaded its drivers, so they wrote a software which protects S4Client.exe immediately when the process is created.

but it has nothing to do with the detection and actually nothing with the disconnects, so killing it will not help.
On the contrary it will increase the detection risk, because HGWC checks XTrap's and Aegis' activity, so if it is killed, it could send the disconnect packet to the server.
And if it does not do it yet, it will some patch, i am sure!
I dont use any xtrap or aegis killers or any suspenders.
No Bypass, nothing.
I just run the latest IM, run the S4 patcher, press Start and play.
When I am ingame, i choose profiles as shortly as possible!
This is important, if your inventory is corrupted for a too long time, you will get HTD.
So just save a profile, find a room you want to join, choose the profile, join and when you are in the room, restore immediately!
Then press start and have fun.

I have Win XP Prof. 32bit Service Pack 3, i download most of the updates, I have no AntiVirus and no Firewall running.
(why? because the router has a hardware firewall, noone can break into our network, as long as this firewall is kept closed! and i dont need any AV, because I know what i download. and i dont download any kind of hack or other crap (like warez); i dont need it)

MrSm!th, today i tried to play with IM on XP, got 2 bans by skipping HTD, but 3d try was successful (no errors or bans). We need just be more careful with using hacks, as u say.

This was my fault. I was to slow.
But change in x-trap really had a place on 6-7th January, cos before it there was no any troubles.

pS: i think ill just install windows7 xD

Maybe some kind of failed reconnect via the xtrap port that's triggered when switching servers?
Doesn't really explain why it doesn't happen with no hacks running, though. Hmm.

*nods* I've noticed in other hacking threads that the general difficulty is that if you kill one of the three, one of the others WILL notice unless it's done carefully.
Although, that Aegis CAN be disabled is a big step in the right direction towards freeing s4 from this retardedly dysfunctional antihack combination, I think.

This might be a dumb question, but...are you sure it's not the reverse?
I mean, xtrap monitors the memory that the game is using, right? Normally, a player will equip one set of equipment and stick with it.
So under normal circumstances, the memory holding inventory information doesn't change often. But you're suggesting that players should change it whenever their IM-stored equipment isn't needed; I would think all this switching around would make xtrap errors MORE common, not less.
Am I making any sense here? D:

As far as computer differences go, it looks like my setup is similar to yours; the only difference being that I use Windows Firewall. It's doubtful that that's the problem though, as I have it set to be transparent to s4...

Zu Frage 1: Du startest den IM , dannach S4, wenn du an XTrap vorbei kommst , sollte ingame eine Box sein in der du dir ein Profil erstellen kannst. Zieh alles an was du speichern willst , speicher dein Profil , zieh alles wieder aus und lad das Profil, (Sachen die eigentlich in z.B stunden ablaufen, laufen garnichtmehr ab!)
Frage 2: wie gesagt du kannst wenn du z.B ne schöne AP brust für eine Stunde hast , speicher und du hast sie für immer ;P.
