Green from level 1-49 bosses, and normal ones from level 50 onwards. You can also vote on the toplists to get coins and buy changers with them. There's also events such as OX or Moonlight Box where you can get them.

I'm not into this private server stuff but isn't there a column in the database to store allowed IP addresses for gamemaster accounts..?

Yes, but none of the GM have a static IP, and you need to reload admin to update the IPs, so we disabled it long ago, as most of the private servers do (I think)

We have replaced this with a better method now so this kind of incident's shouldn't be happening again.

Dear community,

One of the questions that always are posed about private servers is the legal and ethical issues that come from the use of copyrighted software for your own profit. As we all know, Metin2 is originally a creation from YMIR Entertainment and no matter how much of our own we put into it, we would never forget that without the korean company we would not be enjoying this game.

In January 2013, after we quit the SG team due to the huge corruption issues, we approached YMIR with the intention of obtaining a license for our server. Our requests for a talk about the subject were never answered, so we decided to proceed further opening a private server. However, we always felt the need to give back what was given to us. Yet, YMIR Entertainment and Gameforge are multimillion dollar companies based in two of the richest countries in the world, that do not want or need our humble earnings at all. Giving back to the world in general, seemed like a better idea, and very appropiate for a worldwide community such as ours.

World of Metin2 has players from over 100 nationalities, but there are many people in the world who can't play our game - almost half of the world population live below the poverty line with an income lower than 2.5 USD daily, according to the 2007 human development report. These people do not only not have access to PCs to play our game - they barely have access to the food needed to keep themselves alive.

When we started creating World of Metin2, one of the ideas we had in mind was to donate a part of our earnings to charity. As we experienced huge difficulties maintaining the server afloat due to the constant attacks from Metin2 SG, we even had to give up our own pay occasionally so we could invest in keeping our project running. Therefore, the idea was left aside until now, as we had no profit at all from the game.

As of today, World of Metin2 has become one of the biggest Metin2 private servers worldwide, and in this month of July, the business started being profitable. Therefore we have decided to donate 5% of our net profit to the international NGO Oxfam. Here's an excerpt from the Wikipedia article about this organization:

Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working in approximately 94 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and what it considers as injustice around the world.[1] In all Oxfam’s actions, the ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful, to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Each organization (affiliate) works together internationally to achieve a greater impact through collective efforts.

World of Metin2 becomes the first private server where spending cash will not only help make your character stronger - it will also help, within our humble possibilities, towards building a better world.

Sincerely yours,

The WoM Team

- You can make them every 4 hours, otherwise it's the same as offi.
- Bonus adders and changers drop from boss and event boxes mainly. They are also available in IS and voting gives you 2 Dragon Coins per site.
- Clams from fishing or dropping from high level monsters, skill books from metins (theres an event called book day where you can change worthless books for a random one), soul stones from metins and bosses

Keep it that way. Although I have been kicked out of the configuration for any reason whatsoever, I Respect you and your team still.

Sorry for my English, but i hope you know what i mean.

sehr viel mühe um euch was anzubieten.

Hello everyone!

We have decided that next Saturday, instead of usual Dojang event, we hold a Guild Tournament! In order to participate in the tournament, you have to write a comment on our forum's event thread which includes:

GUILD APPLICATION

1) Your guild name
2) 6 Guild Members that will participate in the tournament, along with their levels
3) (optional) Up to 6 replacements in case the names above are unable to join and their levels as well.

Let's look at the rules and basic highlights of the tournament:

RULES AND GUIDELINES

1) Everyone will have to sign up until Friday, 25th of July (you have the entire Friday as well, don't worry) because the tournament will be held on Saturday, 26th of July, 2014. Depending on the number of the guilds signed up, the tournament might be prolonged to Sunday as well!
2) We will announce the tournament brackets on Saturday, few hours before the matches so that you have enough time to prepare.
3) Guild leaders are not obligated to participate in the tournament, but they have to be online in order to start the guild war.
4) Once the guilds start the war, they have to stand on the opposite sides of the arena (in the center) and wait for GM's sign to start the fight.
5) Use of Guild Skills as well as individual potions are allowed.
6) A player whose name is not among the 12 names written in the post by Friday night can not participate in the Guild Tournament.
7) Use of horses is not allowed in the Guild War.

We are aware that you would like to know the rewards for the winner, so, here they are:

REWARDS

1st Place: 6x Azrael Chest! Each of the participant of the winning guild will receive an Azreal Chest!
2nd Place: 6x Death Reaper Chest!
3rd Place: 6x Proud Demon King Chest!

Also, every participant will receive a reward regardless of their success! So gather your Guild Mates, decide on the participants and let us know of your final decision!

Dear community,

To encourage players to take part in the Guild Tournament this weekend, we have added additional prizes.

Each player from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked guilds will receive respectively 100, 75 and 50 Dragon Coins. This reward is limited to 6 players per guild.

Registration is open until Friday 25th and the tournament will take place on Saturday, the 26th. The schedule will be made public on Friday night.

Good luck to the participating guilds!

Hello Hans,

I'm not sure why you are getting this error, but in the download page we provide a standalone patcher as well. Download it to a folder of your choice & run it, and it will download all the content.

When it's finished, close the client and start it again.

Your PC cannot connect to the patch server for some reason. Maybe you are running a firewall?

I don't know exactly how many germans are playing but I would say somewhere around 100.
