kakashi knew of the dimension cuz his mangekyo (kamui) transform something to another dimension
as kakashi used kamui on his own kunai (which was thrown to tobi) hittet his mask ... tobi uses this "kamui" to transform some of his body in another dimension so the kunai and his mask was in the same dimension :p

tobi muss 2 sharingane gehabt haben (ofc kann er sich einfach eins implantiert haben) aber beim izanagi wird ein sharingan für immer geschlossen(wenn man nicht iwo hashirama mit drin hat) d.h. tobi muss im kampf mit der papier frau 2 sharingane besessen haben .. 1 geschlossen und ausgetauscht gegen das rinnegan
