I am using the English CLient from the FTP download. Is that a problem?

Yes, this won't work. You need to use the Chinese OBT client with the ENU.pak file inside of it, and to set the Windows region options to English (United States).

ehm hab ich nicht und ich spiel ca. seit 20 stunden und looten kann ich alles exp müsste ich auch normal bekommen

Ja man kann nur ca. 6h pro Tag spielen und looten, XP kriegen etc.. wenn man keine Adult ID eingetragen hat, ansonsten kann man 24h durchspielen, was aber nicht grade gesund ist ;)

Yes. Actually, the full English client is completely useless if you just want to play in the Chinese OBT. You need the Chinese client and the ENU.pak file given in the link above, and that's it :)

ich downloade mir grade den Client, den der Threadersteller als erstes gepostet hat und habe mir das ENU.pak aus dem Zitat aus Seite 5 gedownloaded.
Allerdings werde ich aus den diversen Posts und Widersprüchen nicht mehr schlau, was ich jetzt eigentlich machen muss...
Ich wäre JEDEM, der einen schrittweise Guide erstellen könnte oder mir den Link zu einem aktuellen gibt SEHR verbunden!
Ich bin hier wirklich verzweifelt, weil ich nichts mehr verstehe...
Bitte, helft mir bei dieser Sache!

I don't get it how you can make it NOT work.. It is so easy, just download the file from this thread, place it into your L10N folder, change system language to English US and you're good to go.

Changing the system language is not that obvious on Windows Vista. I just changed the format and location settings to English (United States), and it worked. No need to put your whole system to English or to crack the Microsoft language packs.

(doesn't work for everybody!)

#1 install the chinese Aion (for me the EU Aion [first post] didn't work)
#2 run the game through the .exe on your desktop
#3 let the game patch
#4 try to start up aion after gameguard patched
#5 if you have no error you are able to play the chinese game
#6 download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
#7 go into your aion folder and copy the file into l10n (you need the chs files too, don't delete them!)
#8 change your regional language (control panel / systemsteuerung)
#9 run aion through the .exe on your desktop
#10 should these steps helped you, thank .envy !

Du musst nicht mal den ganzen Client laden, nur das hier, und folgende Schritte beachten...

also soweit ich das verstanden habe einfahc die Datei in den L10 ordner kopieren & das Betriebssystem oder die Sprach vom Pc auf US stellen, dann Spiel starten, nur bei mir geht das nicht habe Vist Home Premium oder hat da wer rat oder nutzt wer das selbe?

natürlich nicht ..lol

das geht einwandfrei nur solte man hier CHS folder nicht löschen sonder nur die CHS.pak durch die ENU.pak ersetzen und schon fuzt es natürlich den rest vom guide auch noch machen :)

If you all have problems with getting your chinese client english:

1. Change all your OS languages into non-chinese languages.
2. Delete the CHS folder and the CHS.pak in AION/L10N (make a backup if you want to.)
3. Copy the ENU.pak into the L10N folder
4. Open versionINFO_AION.ini in your AION-Folder
5. Make it look like that:

CurrentVersion=3
SeparateStatus=3
UpdaterVersion=3

6. Save it and make it read-only!
7. Start the shortcut on your desktop and enjoy!
