I'm not even sure if wiza uses Discord himself. And he already has a forum, so I don't really see the need for both.

It's enough to either have a forum or a discord server in my opinion.

It’s 2k20, everyone uses a discord - it’s easier, faster and mobile support. Soon no one will be using a lc servers forums, so making a discord server is a step into the future.

It is a shame wizatek you let LCGN01 die having a lot of potential, for example I loved that server, and LCGN02 is not the same as before, many have asked you for an oldschool and you took out LCGN03 (which for me was a very good server) and you closed it, the truth wizatek you should get serious and not focus only on GN02, it is not an affordable server for everyone, you could think of an oldschool, or artemis and infinity are going to end GN02.

The truth is now when you have to open an lc that calls everyone's attention, now you have to take advantage of the quarantine that there are hundreds of players, be smart wizatek as you have been in the past, and recover now is the time to recover everyone the players that the administrators have lost.

I also liked and played that server for some time. Back then I even messaged wiza once because of an issue regarding players having accessorys created by a gm. Don't really remember if it actually came out to be true, since it was long time ago, but it was still fun. (That was back in 2016, so quite a long time ago.)


Well 02 changed a lot since it's literally been out for years. His custom content might be much, but considering the time the Server has already been open, it's not that much actually. Other servers feels way worse in that aspect to be honest.
And yes, 03 was a good Server, but a server strictly made for pvp is probably hard to balance. If you do something to easy, players get bored. If something is to hard/long you'll get stuff like "this is a pvp server, I don't want to farm"

Balancing all this in a game like last chaos is probably just not worth it in long term. If the project would have been stretched longer, who knows what would have actually happened.


Well first of all, LCGN02 should not be affordable to anyone but wiza. Maybe you mean that it's just not the server for everyone, to that I can agree.

But I totally disagree with infinity or artemis ending 02. That's just big bs. Generic has been out for quite some while and is the only "original" private server that is left.
Just look when this thread has been created, 12/18/2012. I don't know the exact date they openend, but those are 7 years, 3 months and 11 days, since this post has been created.

02 is not going to vanish because of a specific server, but rather because of him loosing interest, personal stuff etc.


Well but what happens after that quarantine? Sure, maybe he'll get a few hundred players at the beginning, but what happens afterwards? You can't just open a server just because of a quarantine. Well you can, but it wouldn't be wise to just do it because of that reason.

You have to think about the future too.



Well but in the end it all comes down to wizas judgement. He should decide when a new server is appropriate and when it isn't.

1 LastChaos server is already enough drama i can handle at this moment.
During primetime in the evenings we have 340 accounts online of which more than 200 unique ip's.
It doesn't look like we are dying.
But i hear people say the same thing for years, your server is dying, or it will die from server ....fill in a name here... but we are still going strong.

If i was to open another server it would be another Laghaim server, but i probably won't.

Update of May 7 :

- We added a brand new dungeon with brand new really challenging monsters.
- The old Grindpoint ranking is removed and replaced with a ranking based on SP Collection.
- The SP Collection system is a system where you can put your unused SP.
- You can cancel your buffs by right clicking on them
- New funny C2 helmets added and a fun and old school way to get them.
- Big money boss added inside this new dungeon, only in Ch1.

This boss will drop a lot of gold, 75~100b but he only spawns once every 1 to 3 hours.
The catch is that it will be announced 5 minutes before it spawns with the exact coordinates

You could have added new dungeons (maps) where you could get/drop certain items where pvp is enabled - with bosses also etc.

Like there are 5 bosses spawning each xy hours and you get wings with nice stats or cool other shit. Maybe make a possible %-droprate on it so people wouldn't get it after 2 days...


Or do people really need those 75-100bil?

He did it simply because it gave more to do, and people were crying about maze boss reduction in gold.

The normal monsters in this dungeon drop monster tokens to collect.
The boss monsters, Freya, will drop Freya tokens.
Both can be used to play the Lacarette to get nice rewards.

Today a few adaptions to the game.

Added:
- Title Cover System.
This system allows you to create a title like the Custom title, but instead it is a cover.
This Cover will show instead of your actual title, while still keeping its seals!
I am thinking of ways to improve this system in the future


Changed:
- More Freya bosses are added in the icy parts of the Nine Curve Dungeon
- Droprate of the SP containers from Freya are increased a little
- The lacarette in the Nine Curve Dungeon will run on 100 coins instead of 200
- Small SP container added as global drop in the Nine Curve Dungeon
- PVP Titles have some of their stats re-evaluated
- 5k PVP title added
- Items in the Participation Point Exchange NPC are revised
- Aden, Aidia and Invisible Dungeon bosses have the Roleplay setting removed (needed Tank/Healer/Dps)
- Cube skills can be used in the Nine Curve Dungeon ( Test phase )
- Jumping around when using click to move at 40 speed fixed

I am also working to have native DX9 support.
This means replace the entire DirectX8 renderer with DirectX9, so not just a wrapper in a dll file.
There are still some things that need to be done to get it working well.

- New world : Forlorn Ruin
This world is not like you are used to.*
All the monsters in this world have a random location, so you can never know where a monster is.
This world also has a few bosses, but they only appear after a number of*normal monsters are killed.
The number is counted for all players together, not alone.*

- Aden Castle Siege
Finally, after all these years, ACS is created, it was challenging, and most likely still not perfect.*
This castle siege has both PVP and PVE aspects to it, it is unique in its kind.*

- Djinn system
Djinns are a passive spirit that you can summon, passive in a way that they don't attack or die.
They can level up, buff, you can add charms to them which are like jewels. They also have a buff.
There are 4 different Djinn types, 8 different buff types and 10 different charm types which can both help
your character in PVE or PVP

- Legendary PVP Weapon (Lv275)
With this update its also possible to get a new weapon.
You can drop it in the new world.

- Mob Hunter Event
During random unexpected times, this system can suddenly announce that it wants a certain monster dead.
This can be any monster on the open worlds. Can be a Fox but it can also be a world boss.
The person that can stop everything he is doing and runs to find and kill the mob will be rewarded.

-*Supernatural Event
2 different statues are spawned on a random location in a random world.
Attack the statues and the monster inside will appear.
These are both requirements for a new daily quest

- Legendary Quest Chain
Created by SinCara, a chain of more than 50 challenging quests

- MCS Changes
MCS has always been difficult to defend. This is changed now a little.
There will always be a field battle, even if only 1 guild registered to attack.
For every attacker killed, the seat of power will have more HP.

- Spending Trillions like Millions title updated
This title is now updated to have some nice PVP stats.
This will make it easier for those who don't have a Birthday title and don't want to farm the PVP points.
It comes with a price, this title still costs 1 trillion and only stays 14 days.

- Inventory Item Search
From now on you no longer have to go trough all inventory tabs to find your items.
In the inventory is a button, click it to open the search window.
Type a part of the name, hit enter and all matching items will apear.
You can also access this by typing /find in the chat.

- New Hitlists
- New Monsters
- New Titles

Its the down side of existing so long.
If i could do anything to make it easier to start and get on endgame level faster, without offending those that had to fight trough all the content because they play for a long time, i would.

But honestly there is so many content that even i sometimes dont remember anymore what i did.

pure pvp servers are just not worth it imo. It gets boring real fast and if you add more content you could just do a normal server.

but who knows, in the end it's his decision.

Its not only about full pvp server. Just make a server where you have to farm stuff, items etc but focus on pvp stuff like daily pvp events. Wiza has everything for it. We just need a new server starting with a couple of custom content and then you have enough space/content to patch from time to time.

I think he got plenty of stuff like the new castle siege and then add quests to craft gear on the maps and so on. :P
And maybe add seal crafting and so on, where you are able to choose what you want as extra seals. Add djinn gear that also has to be farmed and so on...

But keep the leveling more classic.

Auch, wenn ich GN03 gefeiert hat, war es genau das gleiche wie mit jedem Server man hatte Kurz sein spaß und später war es absolute katastrophe da jeder sich wegen irgendwas beschwert hat und dann alle den Server verlassen hatten.

Wiza hatte auch mehrfach bei sich im Forum gesagt, das er kein PServer mehr machen wird, weil er genau weiß wie es enden wird die Community wird ihn erst Hypen und nach einer Zeit gibt es nur wieder Stress da die Spieler mit irgendwas nicht zufrieden sind. Dazu kommt noch das 2x Server zu führen noch viel schwerer ist und dies fast unmöglich ist...

Spaß gemacht hat es trotzdem.

03 was garbage because nobody cares about PvP. If someone wants to play good PvP he takes one look at LoL and never comes back. People who are still looking at LC like the simple PvE and you can clearly see what the LC community dislikes the most about a Server: Not enough focus on PvE/Too much focus on PvP and too much clutter that make this game not chill to play.

One thing that should be said to all devs: If you see a handful of players complaining about X and nobody comes and defend X. That doesnt mean X need a change. If players are happy, they dont come to your board and type, they are busy playing the game and having fun.

I still remember the mistake at Destiny LC (wizateks first server in 2010). At first they had softcap at 165 and hardcap at 200. Leveling to 165 was easy but to 200 was basically impossible. Everyone loved this idea and the server had like 5k active players. Then few people complained and they made it much easier. I still remember that guy who hit level 180 he was a hero and then a patch later 180 was nothing. Worst patch ive ever seen in a videogame. He did it a few more times. Like letting people farm 200 hours in alber at 230 levelcap and then just devalue it because "beginners". Put fraction points for cash i remember that. I go to your website and see level 265 jump potion for 50000 cash. And then wonder why has everyone quit the game.

Just a quick reminder, LCGenericName02 is still online with over 200 accounts online in the evenings and weekends!

We made it a lot easier to start from scratch.
Don't get demotivated because of the great amount of custom content, LCGN02 starts where Lastchaos ends!

when oldschool generic server?

Probably never.
We all have great memories from the past.
But those memories are not because of the game, but the people.
Eveything was new and you had to discover it.
Now you know how everything works, no more secrets.

I don't think a oldschool classic server will work, and it will be impossible to update this with custom content because it wouldn't be classic anymore

Oldschool only works for a specific time and then it just gets boring at some point so you just come back to the same point lcgn02 currently is.
