Rice Rotations is great, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. They talk to you like you are complete and utter trash just for asking a question.

To be fair, not many devs are good at customer service, especially when you've been around for several years and get asked the same question 100 times in 100 different ways. You start to become bitter.

This is a completely different situation.
I bought the bot for 30 euros and paid 25 euros for setup, but in the end, nothing works.
There’s absolutely no description on the website, and on Discord there are just some text manuals—it’s unclear whether they actually or not.
There aren’t any setup videos, and to contact support, you have to fill out a huge form with a dozen questions, half of which I have no idea how to answer.

It’s easier to buy another bot or set up a rotation using something like Champion than to submit a support request.

I mean, even in my review, I suggest that customer service isn't exactly stellar. If being handheld was the objective with them, you're probably in the wrong place.

Thats pretty much a guaranteed ban within 3–7 days. Ive used both, and from my experience theyre mainly used to level up and then farm gold, earning as much as possible before eventually getting banned. And yes, you will get banned quickly every time. I think TTOC also rebranded to something else.

My biggest issue with rice is that their entire setup seems intentionally built to obfuscate subscriber experience from potential users.

The only chat channel you have access to as a non-subscriber is a general channel that subscribers DO NOT have access to. So if you ask a question, the only people responding are rice moderators and their answer is almost always “we don’t talk about it in public channels” ok, fine.


So you spend the €30 to get access only to find out that 90% of their rotations are single button assistant bots that perform the assisted highlight without the gcd penalty. There is no way you would know that’s what you’re paying for until after you’ve given them the money. The features list on the website is also entirely inaccurate as SBA does not have any defensive or cc logic, despite that being listed as an included feature.

I get that the landscape for these kind of bots has changed a lot. Consumers need to be pretty diligent about what they’re buying right now.

How is Rice doing right now? I mean, for Midnight, how does the SBA system they developed without GCD penalty actually work? Can someone who is currently subscribed and using it share their experience please? Because when we ask them, they say they don’t share detailed information publicly, which I honestly find a bit ridiculous…

- For example, are there toggles available? (Such as AOE, CD, SmallCD, OOC)
- Is there support for defensives and CC logic?

It was performing really well when it was pixel-based, but how is it in its current state? Does it have many shortcomings?

There is a lot of wrong info in your post, so I’ll try to clear some things up.

First, it’s not true that you only have one channel. Yes, public chat is limited, but there is also a ticket system where you can ask questions and get answers. We just don’t discuss everything in public, and there are reasons for that.

Second, you don’t have to spend €30 just to see what you get. There is a €5 trial. If you are unsure, you can just use that.

About the rotations: saying 90% are just single button highlight assist is simply not true. More than half are already fully custom again, and more are being updated all the time. And even the ones that are not fully custom still have defensives, interrupts/CC and cooldowns. It’s not just a basic highlight like you make it sound.

Honestly, it feels like you didn’t really try to get proper info before posting this. It’s fine to not like how things are handled, but saying it’s some kind of scam is just not fair.

I never said it was a scam, I said that it’s set up in a way that makes it challenging to know what you are buying before you pay, and that the website is misleading about what is included in your purchase.

I stand by those statements, and appreciate that they’re still updating rotations to custom logic every day. My complaint is that you’re not getting that information without a sub or trial.

If I was unfair on the % of classes off the SBA, I apologize. Last time I was in the channel which was only a week ago it was not anywhere close to 50%. Several utility features were also not functional yet.

I’ve used and enjoyed rice in the past. No shade at all for the quality of their work. I just don’t like that they paywall information I would like to have before spending money.

I can only speak for myself, but my experience has been very different.

Me and four friends have been using rice for a bit more than a year now, and overall we had a good experience. From what I’ve seen, Holy is actually one of the people who helps the most, especially when users don’t understand something right away.

Of course, I can only judge based on my own tickets and what I read in the channels. I can’t see your cases, so I don’t want to say your experience is wrong. Everyone can have a bad experience, and that’s fair.

What I can say is this: yes, sometimes replies can sound a bit stressed or short. But honestly, that happens everywhere, especially in busy projects. In general, I’ve seen Holy trying to help rather than being aggressive.

So I personally don’t really understand the level of criticism, but again, that’s just my point of view.

In my opinion, rice is still the best product on the market right now, especially when it comes to pixel-based systems. The progress in the last weeks alone has been very noticeable.

Also, regarding Holy leaving: from what I saw on Discord, many users asked him to stay because he’s a key part of the project. And in the end, he did stay.

Maybe your opinion is not shared by everyone, but that doesn’t mean your experience didn’t happen. If you had issues, especially with Holy directly, that’s something you probably need to sort out with him.

I just wanted to share that not everyone sees it the same way.

Is there anything worth trying for "competitive" raiding and M+? Since alot of rotas are good enough for casual gaming, but for pushing higher things mostly they just are meh from my experience.

Right now, for pixel bots, it's a little early in the expansion for them to be fully tuned. Many had to completely redevelop their frameworks for the API changes. Maybe by the second season, that question can be answered. For now, most of them are just good enough to handle the content, but probably not optimized to do so, if that makes sense?

Wht's the best and safest to choose for M+ and raid atm? I didn't see anything about VOID in this. Maybe they changed name?

Yes, I've been trying it out. However, I can't say that the rotations are very well optimized for retail yet. The specs I have experimented with haven't been very well optimized and have been buggy (Pres Evoker, Dev Evoker, and Guardian Druid). Aside from that, it has a lot of potential if the rotations can be sorted out. There is no way in its current state that it's pushing mythic dungeons on tank and healer roles, at least from my experience.

i wouldnt recommend rice btw i've used it before i got banned in 1 month and devs/supports are rude not a good experience

Rice has changed ALOT since then, they use dual PC or VM protection so you dont run it on your main PC. ive been using it since s1 of TWW and havent had no bans and been 3k io and parseing 90+ on every boss fights in raids since then. but that's just my exp.

Does anyone use Morpheus? I'd like to know how he performs in Midnight, and if the rotations are well optimized (defensive used and custom rotation not with Blizzard's assistance).

Rotations are not something out of the box with Morpheus. You have to tell them what you want in your rotations. You can give them custom instructions or just tell them to use guides.

what is a best for healing mythic + and raiding .. idk about price i want something secure and well performed

I want to play these activities for 30-60 minutes a day, but not by hand.

I can navigate manually , but prefer a rotation to click on the node at the very least.

Or something to show nodes when they spawn. Stronger than addons do at the moment.
