trying to learn a thing or two and I got stuck on the last step of my quick test setup - actually connecting with a client.

Server's up and running so what modifications should be made to the Shiroi client to make it at least connect to the server with these files?

I've changed the IP/port and removed SROClientLib.DLL so far, next step could be fixing the possible version mismatch, but I'm not sure if that's right or where to start on this one and I'd be grateful for a little clarification before my misguided self dives in too deep into the abyss.

Go to your "SRO_R_Account" and check "_ModuleVersion" and see which version it is, then you can change your version on the client and connect. Default port is 1337

guys How I can use Angel/Devil spirt from underbar or Quickbars cuz its only can be used from Inventory ..

It's not supported.. Might be interesting to find out why/how to add support for it tho

What difference between CSRO-R and VSRO ?

Vsro is more stable than csro-r due to unmixed files, vsro's susceptibility to edits is much larger due to increased attention, however, csro-r is much more advanced and from my point of view, much better, the only issue with csro-r is the unstability and unavailability of bots which is now the core stone of the game.

csro-r contain much more features than vsro like :

-newer job system which people dislike (no idea why)
-Item linking (implemented to vsro via filters)
-new alchemy systems (d12 and above are enhanced by proofs and just -1 after every fail) and much more.


regarding your second question, yes, people have succeeded in setting up a server with these files, no idea why people are stuttering about it but it's pretty straightforward ? the only issue was with the proxy and i'll get to that in the thread of the proxy release, rather than that, set up your cert, run the server on your ip and change your client IP to yours, version to 188 and port to 1337 and you're good to go.

I see a lot of file for db (sr_addon, etc.), why there is so much .bak in files ?
Any tuts (not with screen), but just a step-by-step guide to understand what to do with file that db files (and other files) that is a bit different from vsro filename ?

Just use the latest .bak, that means use SR_ADDON_DB202103101921.bak and not SR_ADDON_DB02022021.bak.
You will need SQL 2019 and the following dbs are important to run the server:
MGUARD, SRO_R_ACCOUNT, SRO_R_LOG, SRO_R_SHARD and of course SR_ADDON_DB.

Use the "ShiroiOfficial_v1.9_clean_exes_etc" and the pk2s from the official shiroi client and not the pk2 from pk2s.7z that are in the Mega archive from Artuuro_lv.

Delete the SROClientLib.dll from the sro_client.exe like above with Stud_PE and add the GameServer.dll to GameServer.exe and change the folder in ServerFiles named Phoenix into Shiroi.

And don't forget to edit _Setting table in MGUARD database with your ip.

But now i have a problem, when i login with the proxy-fix from andzia098 i get a DC when i want to start the game after character selection. When i login without proxy i get a kinda random dc after a while ingame.

When reading all page, it seems files are realy good, but with many manipulations to do (silk, dll ?, client, etc.).

May be someone who successed can do a real step by step guide (just text, no image if can't) or upload his files "ready-to-use" (except the fact that we have to change ip in files).

Launcher open, but when press Start button, nothing happen. All already in DEP, and port (1337 + 188 version).

Some one get the same problem ? Nothing happen after clicking on Start (with exe in DEP)

cant inject the databases in mysql server , access denied .

Rate in server.cfg not used by server ?
I updated rate, but nothing different in game

File is good, but a lot of edit it seems :
- weapon npc give sox for token
- npc for lv 1 - 70 in town, but quest disabled ?
- silk ? not work for me : added 10K silk and not appear on char account and can't use them
- server.cfg rate is not taken by server. Added a big rate to try from lv1, and no difference with normal exp or sp. really no difference.

If anyone got a clean DB or file, it would be great cause we cannot use this (db is not clean).
