The thing that killed it for me was spamming HWT and BOI everyday, if you have a job on the side you can't compete here unless all you gonna do is going to Work - HWT / BOI - Sleep - Repeat -

I got burn out and quit like many others I know, the fact that you can't do the HWT if you don't have 2nd pc to open another char to join your party is just retarded, I liked the server but no more, it's just looks like I was a bot doing the same task everyday and wasting my time and please don't say it's supposed to be a dungeon party when the coins that drop from uniques are 2-3, with who you gonna share it? how long its gonna take u to get your egy parts if you share your coins as if anyone would like to share on beginner anyway..

MeGaMaX is one of the best if not the best coder on this scene but have no clue about player's feeling ingame and how they struggle and don't communicate with them, you gotta thank eAM who's doing all the support work, anyway.. goodluck

Edit : also, the weapon stats are way too big compared to whats it's supposed to be on these files for this cap, just check a youtube video about someone who get his egy weapon on isro back then or sro-r back then and compare its stats to what we have on this server, you'll notice the big difference and is also the reason nukers hit more than wizzard in pve partys :)

While I agree having to put all this effort can get you burnt out this is exactly the meaning of Play2Win. Yes you need to work hard to get the egy equipment and that's exactly the concept of Red Sea. All coins have 2 ways to be obtained. One is PVE and one is PVP, since the opening we have made lots of improvements to reduce daily PVE workload and give same rewards in less amount of time. I believe we are currently at the perfect balance level when it comes to PVE/PVP activities. Yes, daily Holy Water Temple & BOI runs are required but so are Survival Arena, Battle Arena, Job Temple, Styria Clash and this is Silkroad.

I repeat I do agree with you, getting the best items in the game will really require some effort and this was exactly the point from the start. You can't just buy everything, you need to work for your improvements. About the weapon stats, this is the very first SRO-R based Silkroad server, you are invited in our balance test server to see how beautiful an end-game PvP looks like (remember 110 system egy set/accs work with stacking bonuses separate parts are the same with nova so it is normal to have hard hitting weapons during the early stage of the game as most players focus on getting their weapons first).

I'm curious about something, if the main post has only 74 likes at the time of me commenting it, how come are there 1929 players on the server? That looks fake, as if the website boosted that player count on purpose. Can anyone confirm that this server is populated this much (can also send screenshots from various locations)?

I'm not stating that they're actually boosting the values, I'm just asking because this doesn't really make sense to me. No hate intended in any way.

That doesn't really tell much because I am in a few servers where people just make accounts, join, never talk and sometimes even have nothing to do with the content of the Discord. It's just extremely fishy that uniques live that long with so many players, wheres on 100 people servers they mostly die within 10 minutes.

Your screenshot doesn't really tell anything. Isyutaru died in just two minutes and Demon Shaitan is harder to kill. Also I noticed that such info on the website can be wrong sometimes.

I see a lot of accusations of fake player count in this thread and I don't think they are justified. I can't really tell myself, it could be fake. Someone here mentioned player count being more than 1000 after restart but I checked this once and saw just ~300 players on the website.
But what can I tell and what is probably more important is that this server didn't really lose many players if any at all in almost 3 months which is quite impressive. I played here since day 1 (tho inactive recently) and there are roughly same amount of people in Hotan and roughly same amount of Parties in matching. I've seen a few guilds disband but new ones seem to be taking their place.
To add to that, admins are active and constantly listen to player feedback. Egy B items are still disabled. Bugs are being fixed, even old SRO ones like knockdown bug (some players said it's still not fixed but the effort can be complimented). So, imo the "Longtime" term isn't without a reason.

However, not everything is positive about this server. Just like in almost any server donators have the advantage. Even bigger recently considering silk items are increasing in price every week in terms of gold. Imo the whole coin system for Egy items isn't enough, there are other factors like fellow pets and alchemy (I don't think it's possible to have a +9 set without donating), also the presence of damage/absorption/HP scrolls is just peak Pay2Win, don't tell me otherwise. Same thing with the absence of silk scrolls, it's just an inconvenience and doesn't change anything to call the experience "Play2Win". At least temporary alchemy plus scrolls are being removed.

Others pointed out issues with HWT grind but that has been improved two times already. Battle of Infinity is even worse that HWT, it feels like a daily chore for Arena Coins but admins stated in Discord that they plan to remove BOI entirely and replace it with CTF, that would be great.

So these are my thoughts about this server. As I said I'm inactive recently but not entirely because I dislike this server, there are good things and the server feels unique compared to other servers because it's iSRO-R based. There is always room for improvement though.

That's quite a good description, thank you. I've never been discouraged by Pay2Win, because Silkroad basically was always about it. However, if silk items raise when it comes to price, then I don't think this server will last that long. You've mentioned that they're constantly fixing bugs, and listen to feedback, so this shouldn't be a big deal because we can suggest some sort of purge towards that (but not banning) or just add a limit towards how much can be silk items sold for.

Hope there are not people who have extremely well geared characters that win no matter what happens, though. This used to be my main issue with SRO private servers, because in most cases the one person that was the strongest on the server either got all their items from the admins or other friends that made this server or straight up hacked the game to give themselves the advantage in enhancing items (yes, I played on a server where a guy had full +12 sun set as the first person on the server and there was no way of stopping him as he participated in everything and took everything for himself). I have very positive thoughts about this server, though, because they claim you're not allowed to use bots or any third-party tools/programs, so any "extremely lucky players that have the best gear ever because they're so lucky" shouldn't exist.

I'll most likely give this server a try (unless I find something that interests me more, which I doubt), because I'm looking for a good server, as I always do every year, and this one looks quite nice (even though I don't really like the modern SRO, with tokens and everything).

ive been there for 1.5 months and the server has the same "capacity" from the beginning. you barely find party for BOI , u can clearly see that hotan which is the main town is empty. and if you gonna tell me that most of them are botting you're wrong. drops are useless since HWT is the main drop system there so people are not botting. this server is full of fake capacity i can confirm that even by just telling you that i got banned just for asking in discord why they are using fake capacity. and there you go :)

This server ist just a waste of time.. weekly change of server settings (EXP, HWT, Build, Guild and so on) which is really annoying!! + fake count of players in website... there are never 1900-2000 players online, max 500 players!!!

the biggest fail what i saw is the Sailor pass without donate you cant get it..

my tip better stay away from this server.
