So, how many of us have actually suffered at the hands of this "great rebalancing"? XD

By the way, is it me or has no one heard from Dark Raccoon since The Order showed up? You'd figure when you get mentioned in his introductory post, you'd throw in a comment or two about the situation. Although given the shadiness of his recent posts, I'm more inclined to think there may be a common link. Oh yeah. If anyone remember the l/p of the account that was "hacked" in The Order's introductory post with Chosen's account info (same guy who posted that AntiLogger), the password was "htzuw3rm". Take a look at this video- [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] "Account hacked in the Video: lolaffe; htzuw3rm" Freaking shady. |

Both me AND kev downloaded it, and decompiled it. So, no-one actually ran it (maribot signed up that day, and only posted in that one thread. You do the math). |

Also... that is kinda odd... |
Notice that is [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]'s YouTube account.
Regarding the DLL stuff- Yes, if you use a proxying dll, it will be completely different from the original. Although if you're feeling extremely dedicated, you can pull something similar to how Jinsu handles things and stick the extra code in the empty space near the beginning of the file. It isn't practical, but not impossible. Also, on the topic, does anyone not see it unusual that there has been a dramatic increase in this type of behavior after Dark Raccoon outburst and subsequent ban from this forum? Now, this may be just a coincidence- Register an account on hackforums.net and take a look at the posts by [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Take a look at this Nexon thread- [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Now take a look at this thread made 2 days later- [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Now now, maybe that is just a coincidence. A fairly unique line being used twice in a short timespan that *happen* to be Mabinogi related. Maybe I'm just looking too close into the issue. Although, this unfortunately, may not be a coincidence- [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. There is a followup response by "[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]." Something is really messed up here. Is it just me or does it appear that Dark Raccoon is involved with this current situation? I reviewed the posts by DeadlyPixel and they don't do very well to reinforce Dark Raccoon's claim that he was hacked. It would explain why he wouldn't reveal the identity of the hacker though as it is possible that they are the same person. The "[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]" connection seems it will be pretty hard to throw away as a coincidence and with that talk about hacking accounts seems reasonable that there is a definite relation between the two. By the way, it should be noted this [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] was bumped shortly after Dark Raccoon lost senior member status on the mabimods forum. Spoiler:

Funny thing is they didn't even MAKE this.
They stole it off some BS server that had a file with a keylogger, and said they made it. Sad boobies. |
I lol'd hard when i saw the screenshot where he was offering $45 for mabimod's admin user and pass. So THIS is the "The Order" noob. Ah. Why am I not surprised..

LOL, I just had a great idea. Create fake admin account, email him info, and get the money, then switch it to regular user before Dark Idiot can do anything. |

And I want to say nice job to those idiots who let him on the UG knowing damn well all he has done since he got here was post other peoples work as his own by just changing the name to something raccoon-themed. Now god knows how many game breaking mods he has that he will either release and destroy the game or send to nexon so they patch it. Either way you're all fucked. I wanna say it again...Nice job. |

It was just a funny idea. Like I'd ever give anyone administrator without talking to Serif first. |
I expected to come back to people finishing their plans to lynch him.
... I'm disappointed in you guys. and you pretty much gave me admin Marck ._.; Well, I can promote myself, which makes me lol. |
This whole situation makes me want to write a novel about love, respect, and betrayal XD.

So to wrap up my feelings about this "the order" business: -Raccoon is a douchebag. -Please stop leaking this stuff so the noobs don't abuse it and/or it gets patched. I want the good mods too but I would rather work for them and try to do them myself/with a group if it keeps them from getting patched and abused by noobs. -Let me in the UG! I don't know jackshit about code but I can sure keep my mouth shut. -Raccoon is a douchebag. Any questions? |

btw like my sig? :D |
I am not gonna learn to code. I just don't find coding interesting enough to pick it up and definitely not interesting enough to get good at it. I am a graphics guy. I would love to help make GUI's for bots and stuff like that but code-wise I just mess around with dll using what little knowledge I got. And i don't expect to get in, god knows they just want coders so we can all laugh when something like this happens again with the next one that goes on a rage. But it doesn't hurt to try. :o

If you're not going to actively create your own works, then generally your best bet is to become a good friend of someone who either does create their own works or have connection to those who do.
While saying that you are a cool guy who doesn't leak should have merit, to most people, you are a complete stranger. There really isn't much weight to your promise not to distribute. I have shared works with people who have no idea on how to mod, those are people that I have dealt with for a significant amount of time and provided an impression that they weren't going to be morons with what I give them. There was a significant amount of time for trust to develop and certainly, they weren't looking for anything out of me. Of course, I also dealt with people who received my works off the basis they said they wouldn't distribute. Now I have a retarded situation with my collection of mods floating about. I'm not saying that will be the same for you, but generally, people don't like taking unnecessary risks. |
Well I know what my morals are and what I believe on. I would love to get a chance to prove myself with someone. But I doubt a random coder is gonna look at me and say "hmmm I'm gonna see if he is trustworthy so he can leech off my work".
I am just a guy that wants to get the most out of the game he plays. I have a guild I love, a best friend and a cousin who play with me, and that's all I really need. If mods were easy to make I would get past my dislike for coding and I would learn some stuff. But they are not. So I just lurk around here trying to give my 2 cents wherever I can so people don't call me a leech just because I can't make stuff like they can. |
Your best chance if you want to prove yourself is just to interact with those involved in modding ingame. Ruiari is ridiculously full of people who share. The fact everyone refers to each other by first name shows that Ruiari players are excessively friendly.
You won't get very far lurking around here nor should there be expectations to. Anything decent tends to be produced outside of the public community with public exposure caused by leaks. Another way to look at it, Fantasia's source has been available for several months now and the only person who has done anything publically with it is Tyne. Let me tell you one thing though, this is important so listen up- You don't have to be a coder to have value to those involved in modding. There are those who are exceptional at information gathering and for groups who already have coders, those who are capable of acquiring information that hasn't hit public knowledge are considered to be an indispensable asset. For example, the range mod is stupidly simple. Knowing that there was a range mod was the hard part. The exploit itself existed for years. It's now just another of the exploits NA Mabi destroyed for the rest of the world. |
