Make sure your server.dat is correct. Search epvpers for a new server.dat and conquer.exe that should sort your problem.

Because you use 64 bit system. As far as I am aware you have to set your project to 32 bit only or 64 bit only. there is a guide on it around the forum. Can't say anymore than that as I don't run 64 bit.

The guards have different functions. They can attack mobs only, players and mobs, hunt for blue names etc. There is something on this around the forums somewhere. I am not sure but I think it could be in .Arcos official 5165 FAQ Thread.
