May I get some help here about configuring PPjoy please? When I'm trying to set up PPJoyKey(PPJoy Keyboard to Virtual Joystick 1), during the time I changed any of the Buttons, on top of it says "Sending joystick updates to PPJoy" for a very long time. I keep on wait and wait, still haven't done update. Whenever I click "Close", it says "Are you sure you want to close PPJoyKey? The virtual joystick will stop updating if the application is closed."

Edit 2:
Do I have to do something after install PPJoystick? Let reconfigure the PPJoystick or whatever it is?

I get same probs with trying to use PPjoy. Pinnacle and the script works fine when I use a real usb game pad, but ppjoy is just not sending the keys to pinnacle or something. I'm trying to find a different virtual joystick, but had no luck.

Well i suppose u cant have it all easy going we should try helping our selfs a little then just asking other peoples up its not like a technicians page lol ^^ even so it would be nice if some1 would create an tut on how to exactly configure ppjoy other then buying a gamepad..just an idea :)

Is it Windows blocking the updates or what? I doubt windows firewall is blocking it either.

I think there's another solution, manually edit in the exe/ini etc files. But I got no idea which files is it.

Sorry guys I can't help with PPJoy since I don't use it at all, I just offered the link to download it, use at your own risk lol. If you need help with the Pinnacle program then I can be of limited assistance ;)

Ok I really didn't do anything, but those of you who can't or know how to get ppjoy to work, I got it working now. I just explain from the beginning what I did to make mine work fine (works fine for me on my xp desktop and vista laptop)

1. install ppjoy
2. open the "configurejoysticks" link in the ppjoy folder or start menu
3. Click "add" and make sure to click the dropdown arrow and select "virtual joystick"
4. wait for it to bring up the "add new hardware window" and just click "next" etc. and to "automatically" detect the best driver blah blah. :)
5. Should install fine.
6. next make sure you installed pinnacle and set all your script commands like Nightdragon said or add some things like I did, then MAKE SURE you restart your computer after installing pinnacle.
7. open the "ppjoykey" and select the button you want to use by clicking one and hitting "scan" then just hit the key on keyboard that you want to assign hold down or tape down to make it run over and over.
8. You should be done. Make sure "ppjoykey" is open at all times and that pinnacle is also running. And one last thing that i noticed that can be a problem. Not just ANY key that you assign on the keyboard will work with pinnacle for some reason. For example I tried using "left ctrl" key to be my hold down button...doesn't work. But i do know "insert and "pause break" works and these are good keys to use b/c they do nothing in actual rappelz. For instance, if you use space bar it will just repeatedly type in spaces in your chat bar which isn't a good thing if you use keymapping settings that I do.

Anyway, hopes this helps danger and anyone else who don't have an actual gamepad/joystick. I try to help more if possible if anyone still has problems

i did exactly what you did but in Pinnacle Game Profile i dont see RAPPELZ by the game profiles,and im stuck at the game commands becaus ingame nothing happends

ok danger on that window you have pulled up under "no imageguide found for this device" you see those 7 little bitty icons? click on the one 2nd from the left. the little "chat bubble" looking one that says "edit commands" when you put your cursor on it.

That's the same thing that took me a bit to find that is different than the tutorial nightdragon left with his version. the version we use must be newer so that's one extra step that should finally get you to that edit command window he talked about, then you select tab and edit your script.

Hey, got a problem with the macros, perhaps someone knows the answer

My little Hotkey works fine, until I call another Hotkey in this Hotkey,see:

Attack
Loop 3x (Attack only)
Camera & Movement
Loop 35x (Attack & C&M)
Buff
Loop inf times

Problem here, second loop begins after first loop, so camera and movement will be repeated 35 times only.
So I tried a solution like:
binded my attack to another button e.g.: key L
and called this button three times:

key L
key L
key L
C&M
Loop 35x

problem here, key L does not fire the macro behind it.
Any solutions?

P.S.:
Attack consists of
TAB % focus
key 2 %chipping
key 1 %attack
break 10 secs
key 9 %looting
break 1
key 9
break 1
key 9
break 1

rofl i do everything you did but i tihnk it may be my pc as when i got on edit steps its freezes and wont respond lol anyone else have this problem? really want this working.

sorry bro mine don't freeze at all on my xp or vista machines after hitting that. also i noticed on your screenshot that you had "amiga 4 player" selected as your device. make sure that is changed to ppjoy virtual joystick or whatever. other than that if you did everything I said from a clean install it should work.

Sorry I will not tell you where to go to get the serial/crack for Pinnacle.. if you are tech savvy enough to use the program then you are savvy enough to do a google search for it lol.

@pravesh12: According to the screenshot you provided, you have everything setup up the way it should be from the looks of it, and all is ready to go. To start the script, you gotta hold down Button 1 on your gamepad/joystick. Its not a matter of pressing 'Insert' only lol. Also, not sure if this matters, but I noticed you had setup the profile under Rappelz when I EXPLICITLY stated to setup the profile under WINPROFILE - BACKGROUND PROFILE. For those having issues with this, try under that profile instead

@gremium: I will look into this for you tonight and see what I can come up with.

I postet into the official Pinnacle Forum, and they told me that firing a Hotkey, out of a Hotkey wont work, because the program reads the keyboard only.

But it works quite well so far, the bot was active the whole day,
Attacking,
Looting,
Camera & Movement
are working, whats left is some sort of buffing.
Also my healing needs improvement xD

You don't have to set it under the WINPROFILE, I have problems when I do that. If you want to set it specifically to Rappelz, set it to Sframe.exe because that is what rappelz game actually runs while your playing.

Actually, You only need to press Insert once to start the script with infinity-loop
But you have to make sure to have at least one break in it, to have enough time to stop your script again :)

So I press Insert once, and thats enough to do, if I want to stop it, I click on [stop profile]

Works well so far.

@Pravesh: Are you using a gamepad/joystick to keep activating the script? From what I see in the pics all looks good except you don't have any key assignments to any of the buttons on the gamepad in image3.

@Gremium: I tried to use an infinite loop after 3X attack loop for buff purposes and it performed the same way for me as well, it went through the attack sequence and then kept repeating the buffs. Seems like it will only repeat everything up to the previous loop. I noticed an option to Hot Swap profile/config file... perhaps that could be of use? I didn't have the time to try it but if that command can be of use perhaps 2 configs is the way to go and then just add the hot swap command at the end of each profile sequence.

Sorry I can't be of any help for PPJoy.. I don't use it myself. I just use a USB gamepad and hold down the button with an elastic band to keep the script going.

I don't know if TAB is a good use for binding your script, because TAB is used ingame already.
Try another Button like INSERT.
Second, did you press on play in the Game Profiler? It did not look like mine Profiler when I pressed play,
(There should be a little message under your close button with some sort of [stop profile] button)
Just look at my Game Profiler.
P.S.: your Virtual Joystick seems to be configured well, mine looks identically

How about holding down the insert key? Don't forget that we are adding all of the script commands to the keypress category and not the key release category.

Holding down means in this case that he repeats the script inf times, so its the same as an inf loop.

same as pressing a key, it will repeat this letter or the command behind it, until you release.
example: [button pressed]aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa[button released]
should work in both cases, either hold the button or implement a inf loop at the end of the script.

but even if you press the button once! he should execute the script once, so here it is not the case.

I don't exactly know your config or what steps you do, in order to help you, but try this, export your config, and post it here, so i can look into this.

Holding down a Button is an easier way, because you exit the script when releasing the button,
while in my script I need to stop the profile.

Like Autoit and Pinnacle, is this possible? to create a Autoit script, which emulates a timed button press?
Because here is no GG that looks for a real button press...
lets say we have cycle command on the INSERT key,
lets call those cycles:
1-Buff
2-AMC (Attack&Movement&Camera)

while AMC is repeated 35 times -based on the breaks in there- to sum up to 30 minutes, (duration of buffs)
Buff is only needed once every 30 mins,
so the Autoit script, presses INSERT infinity times
I know, sounds weird, but it is an option ^^

other option would be placing Buff on releasing the button, so AMC will be repeated 35 times on buttonpress and Buff will be executed on button release
and Autoit will press INSERT again inf times ;)

the point here is, if Pinnacle recognizes a fake buttonpress, and executes its own script....

I think to do what you are proposing we will need to know exactly how is the Pinnacle able to work with GameGuard running, considering that the conventional Windows API's cannot be used with Game Guard running. I think if we find the answer to that riddle then we will have our answer for a bypass for anything else.
