they should have a console... to set stuff
I am monitoring my cpu temp not in focus, 38 Degrees celsius in focus up to 66 degrees celsis (WTF!!!) @kgy, you are using quad? EDIT: i am using E6750 Core2Duo 2.66ghz. No HT technology. shouldn't it support SRO |
Is it only SRO that consumes your CPU or is there other processes running?
- Have you tried increasing / decreasing the priority of the process? |
i downclocked to 0.8ghz with 4core and total usage still 25% !!
u cant make this shit up @auggie ur probly running with closed pc case and stock cpu cooler ... thats what u should expect |
I tested with only SRO running, and some other windows process
still it uses 80- 90% cpu increasing decreasing priority does nothing @toma I am running with cpu case open with coolermaster heat sink, averaging 38 -40 degrees when normal usage, 50-55 when playing black ops EDIT: I think this game is not optimizing the GPU alot and transferring most of the load to the CPU. |
Most of this free games are usually coded poorly and contains lot's of bugs!
- However check if there is a option inside / outside the game to "Allow Game Refresh" then un-tick that. |
That is for sroking i suppose? i am not using that
|
well it happened to me b4 but it was with all not only sro if i do open anything it just consume alot of cpu so i found that the error was in my power supply after changing it to a better one all went smooth
|
hazdy i think your problem has nothing to do with ours.
U see i have a 500W PSU. And only SRO consume lots of cpu. |
weeee, i just realise by using SROking, i can tick save cpu :D

reduces ( or afaik forces silkroad to not use so much cpu ) i am only using 15-20% in focus now without lag, save too much will cause lag
|
I see this too. It started after the last major update. 90 - 100% cpu usage. the game ran fine before the update. Now it even uses so much i have to reboot the computer.
