No, it appears just after I enter in a room. I always press Restore. And the most curious thing: two accounts got HTD at first time, but other was working all the week.
What can be that?

I think what he meant to ask is "Is one usage of IM sufficient to make items 'permanent', and will they stay that way even if I don't run it".

And the answer is no; you need to run Item Manager every time you run the game, and follow the directions for using it. Only items equipped by using a profile are unaffected by gameplay.

The best way to describe it would be that Item Manager creates virtual copies of your items, and equips those copies when you use a profile. The actual items that were used to make the profile are in your inventory, both unused and unaffected by Item Manager.

Note that this means when Item Manager is broken by a patch, you can save your armor/weapons to make a new profile later when it's fixed. They won't count down as long as you don't equip and use them in a game (besides Practice mode, which doesn't affect counters).

Ah.. Okay then. One last question though to temporarily end my paranoia.

What about those "XData####.log" files that appear if IM was not hidden successfully? Should they be of any concern at all? o ~ o;;

Edit: Wait.. those "XData####.log" are the files we're supposed to delete? (They don't end in ".txt", but they're still Text Document files). Sorry, I'm a bit confused.

Those particular files are mainly generated so you can send them to Support if you keep getting Xtrap't during legitimate play; deleting them won't help you in any way, but it won't hurt anything either.

I've personally looked through my s4 folder and the folders contained within, and found nothing that looks like a log with a .txt extension. However, when opened via note/wordpad, .logs take on the same icon as a .txt would. Perhaps Forfirith mistook them for plaintext documents? I have no idea, he'll have to answer that.

Point of interest: the hgwc folder is full of old, unused files that can be safely deleted. If you have an old client like mine, this can add up to several dozen mb that could be used for something more important.

Don't worry too much about deleting the currently-used files, they're redownloaded when you connect.

When I try to run IM it says to run it as an administrator, when I run it as an administrator it repeats the same message. AVG also finds a fake virus in the temp file of item manager. I already tried to suspend AVG but the only change is that the fake virus is not found. Can somebody help me?

Do i have to click on restore EVERYTIME i go into a match, or just everytime i use a profile?
EDIT: does it still work with 1.5 dark lightning atm?

Don't look at your inventory screen while in a room, either. I did the other day, and started the next game with training weapons on. It's probably not a common occurrence, but better safe than sorry.

Amusingly, in that game I managed to get two kills, without dying, before deciding to exit and get something more effective on. It was great, pecking people to death :awesome:

O-o Weird. If I press "Restore" when the waiting room pops up IM gets detected. So I usually restore while the room is still loading. Works perfectly for me. :awesome:
But does that mean that the IM gets a higher chance of being detected if I restore it in the loading screen?

i have win 7 64 bits
when I run the item manager as administrator I get an error that says:

I have none of these antivirus I have the comodo and i dont know how make exeptions in this antivir
