i find it depressing what happened to this game
in offi, all the areas are deserted, you just have some niche areas to fill p2w-crowds into and poor souls grinding their ***** off in other niche-areas
even to this day i remember the crowded etherblade city and how i just had to join that "private chat room button" ("g chat") and just had to join a group of radiance faction, who were friendly, and happily willing to assist in fb19
even in private servers there are just too many around now. nothing really to give me any fulfillment. it's like at that time it was a party of mmo games, that you were joining and now it's nothing but a personal journey. if you cannot find fulfillment in upgrading your character like a dull robot there is hardly any joy left. it was different when areas were crowded and your existence had some sort of a meaning through that
(i love this emote and thought it was worth using it just because it was there. without any context)
it's kind of like with dough. first it's all together and then you pull it apart and shape it into cookies. and then it's just laying there waiting for its death to come. we're all just like cookies being baked in an oven
man
the lvls are just too far apart too
kind of makes me wonder why i ever started with mmos in the first place
i remember playing forbidden memories on ps1 and if you put that in context of trading with other players online it sounds nice
but those players are hardly human. they overperform and oversupply the market and all that ****. these are worker class people going into games. but thats not even an issue. i remember games being fun even with overperformers. but the original idea of getting into mmos nolonger makes sense the way it used to
