Help - Cursed Offline Copy of NFSW
I have a bizarre problem trying to run an offline copy of NFSW.
I'm using the World United.gg Soapbox Race World client files, and my Java 8u271.
I've done about 10 clean reinstalls of the game client and the server files, and it's always the same problem. The game starts when it wants, most of the time it will crash or freeze at the loading screen, and when it actually does start, it will crash a few minutes into gameplay, regardless of whether I'm on Free Roam or trying to start an offline event.
Ironically enough, the online client worked right from the start.
It's driven me crazy for days, and I have no idea what to do.
These are my specs:
They should be more than enough to handle the game, especially since I've tried it on a potato office computer and it has worked without issues.
Thank you very much for any help in advance!

Java is to blame...i forgot what was the ideal version of java in order to use it without any problems... specialy when using windows 10 with newer versions of java gives lots of crashes.

I have tried 333 and 271, and nothing seems to have changed.
But it is strange that I have tried this in a potato and in my gaming rig, and the potato works without issues, while here it does not.

something around 200 or under 200 (it wont work above it)
try java 8 / 151 (usualy old versions should work...but it must be a java 8 version)
i cant find the version i used to make it work. but also win10 wont help either....(for some reason once i moved to win10 nfsw for me died almost completely... )

I just tried, but it's the same thing. I get these crash dump files but no text that comes along with it when the game crashes at the start screen, but nothing when it freezes mid-game (when it wants to start, which is rare).

try a clean data base.
ex: use a different driver
or
move the "www" folder somewhere as backup...and make a new one..see if it does the same thing...if it does...try change the server version...
i usualy use 1.9.0 only...others gives me bugs and crashes i think..
try clean up the files (by that i mean use stock stuff, NOT modified ones)
in my case...win10 does not alow me to play nfsw at all... (crashes at bootscreen or when i maximize the game, the game works when its minimized, witch is wierd..)

Nothing I do seems to do any change. Reinstalling Java makes the game boot and work for a few minutes before freezing or crashing back to desktop, and it will not work further after that.
I can't pinpoint the cause of this at all, so I'll have to wipe out my hard drive and start anew.

I've wiped out my hard drive, reinstalled Java, and the game now will freeze in the opening screen.
I've tested it on an Intel potato computer, and in an NVIDIA laptop, and they work flawlessly. It's only in this Radeon gaming PC that this happens.

Same does for me when ive moved to windows 10 using my amd...but on the other potatoe witch is intel...works like charm... somehow i have the feeling that some amd drivers on win10 might be the cause of it...the coincidence is too high..

Hi bro, i think i spend 3-4 hours to figure it out why my game crashed eveytime i tried to enter world. The reason was Java version. First of all uninstall your current Java then go download Java SE 9 from this link then go to Java SE Runtime Environment 9.0.4 section then download .exe thing. Your game should run nicely now.

I don't seem to be able to download it, it says the file is missing. Do you happen to have it by any chance?

Update: I downloaded and installed it, but the issues still remain. The game will start when it wants to, most of the time it will not start, and when it actually does, it will shut down mid-gameplay.
