If you want to unninstall mysql you must do this:
first enter "pkg_info" and see what mysql version you have installed, example on me (mysql-server-5.0.95 ) after make this:
"cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-server/"
"make deinstall" Finish.
Step 1
Quote:
"cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-server/" (mysql50 you can changeit how you want i mean,if you want mysq55 or mysql56
Step 2
Quote:
Let's make a clean config,enter this command:
"make clean && make config-recursive"
Step 3
Quote:
Now we will install mysql , so now enter this command:
"make WITH_XCHARSET=all install clean" and wait untilf install it's finised
(if u get error with "SHA256 Checksum mismatch " this means you already have a version on mysql installed
Step 4
Quote:
Now we will make mysql to start once with our operating system if we have already this .. no needed ,go in /etc search rc.conf and add this string to finaly : mysql_enable="YES"
Step 5
Quote:
Now we will install DB with this command:
"/usr/local/bin/mysql_install_db" if we get error("FATAL ERROR: Could not find ./bin/my_print_defaults
"to this command we will enter this command and will 100 % work:
"/usr/local/bin/mysql_install_db --basedir=/usr/local"
when this is finish enter :
"chown -R mysql /var/db/mysql"
"chgrp -R mysql /var/db/mysql"
Step 6
Quote:
Now let's start mysql and put it password, make this command to start mysql:
"usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server start"
after this we put or password to mysql ,enter this command:
"usr/local/bin/mysqladmin -u root password yourpassword" and this is all
Solving Error Host is not allowed to connect
Enter this command:
Quote:
"mysql -u root -p" after this :
"GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO [email protected]"%" IDENTIFIED BY 'yourpassword';" after this:
"GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO [email protected]"localhost" IDENTIFIED BY 'yourpassword';" after this
"FLUSH PRIVILEGES;" and now will work
How create a new user to mysql:
Quote:
So at first enter this command:
"cd /usr/local/bin" after this :
"mysql -u root -p" after this :
"CREATE USER 'youruser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'yourpassword';" after this:
"GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'ÿouruser'@'localhost' WITH GRANT OPTION; after this:
"FLUSH PRIVILEGES;" and we are finish
How change mysql password easy:
Quote:
So let's start first enter this command:
"/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server stop" after this:
"mv /var/db/mysql /var/db/mysql_old" after this:
"/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server start" after this":
"/usr/local/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'newpassword'" and this is finish

[HowTo] MySQL-Verbindung beschleunigen
02/12/2010 - Metin2 PServer Guides & Strategies - 35 Replies
