Good and cheap is not really a thing. I can only recommend HyperFilter dedicated servers, which start at 360$ a month. Their support is very good, I had a very good experience working with them.

However, if you're a new server, the chance of you getting attacked are not that big, so you can settle on a cheap OVH (I don't like them at all, just saying) VPS and use it for the first month, then migrate your server to another hosting provider.

I am working on an new server, and we're in closed beta atm. But, i am fairly scared of DDoS attacks incoming as soon, as we go into open beta / open. Is there any good/cheap way to make it less of a chance to get DDoSed ?
