no, I did not partake in the glitch while it was working.
also which glitch was it that caused the shutdown of all servers world wide?

Do you trust your source and did he verify the information?
The primary issue is you're having people pursue information that is not verified. Lately, for reasons beyond me, people have been spreading a lot of rumors that have absolutely no base and people are swallowing up as fact. All it succeeds in doing is waste everyone's time trying to search for something that isn't there, sorta like what is happening your threads right now. No offense, but I'm pretty sure the information you received is wrong. My help is saving you the effort in searching for something that isn't there.
There was a gold dupe bug that started on Tarlach and hit the general populace a long while back. It was actually being used worldwide, but it was those on Tarlach (NA) who made it public and caused it to be patched for everyone. I don't know if the people will talk about it here, but I reckon you should be able to find someone in-game who did participate in it and would be willing to give you the specifics on it. I doubt anyone would assist you in this endeavor though since anyone who would be capable of resurrecting the exploit wouldn't dare give any inkling it exists lest history may repeat itself and people will lose yet another dangerous exploit. I haven't read the other threads, but those with ethical concerns can suck it. Ethics only gets in the way of innovation. I just know greed will basically prevent public research in this realm from happening. Like hell anyone would share anything relating to a gold dupe if Nexon will patch it a day or so later and it'd be utterly retarded if it's assumed Nexon isn't keeping tabs on modding developments.
If I can make the suggestion though, find multiple people who can verify the information your friend gave you. Ideally, trustworthy people who aren't out to screw with you. Once you verified that the information is false, get the real details from again, people who aren't out to screw with you and look into that.
I'll save you some more time though, the things they do to fix these things are usually server-sided. The people who have the potential to help you, would be working on things on their own. It really doesn't have anything to do with the community, but anything on the level of a gold/item dupe is not going to be discussed on a public forum. If there is a remote possibility that another exploit exists, you won't get any information from a public forum (anyone who feels that this is a private forum or that it's underground in any way is clearly delusional).
Satisfied with that response? I noticed you did make a few of these posts and I guess there was a lot of flaming.
One more thing, the reason why the original gold dupe gone public was because it devastated the Tarlach economy. Since Nexon didn't do anything after tickets were sent regarding the issue, the guy just posted a thread with the steps on how to do it. It ran rampant on Tarlach for several weeks, it got fixed two days after the guy made the post and everyone went to town on it (because it was on a weekend). The poster's intent was to force Nexon to fix it by making it into a critical situation which while as modder I feel was absolutely stupid, he did accomplish his goal by forcing Nexon's hand.
That's why you won't get any public support in this.
