lol the "Patched" mods are just the ones that were released to the public. If you're smart, you would make up your own mods and sell them for quite a nifty price >

Yes, because a smart person would sell their mods, have them get leaked by the buyer, and then have their time and effort wasted because they were careless.

Step 1:
Have an idea what you want to mod

Step 2:
Make sure you know how to mod w/o ******** up files entirely

Step3:
Keep it private.

Usually Public Mods are Patched depending upon how they affect the game.
If it affects the game entirely/ alot of people use it (100% range mod) it gets patched within the next gen/ Update.

Be smart, never trust anyone with mods you did yourself. Unless your willing to part with it and NEVER USE IT AGAIN!
