Eh... I mean... The only reason that comes to mind for EU closing before NA is it employing more staff than our region, in terms of service. I mean, really, I'm still getting ticket-update statuses weekly, since November 20th saying "Our ticket volume is high at this time..." NA plays it safe by cutting down staff members to.. Well... Non-existent amounts? Honestly, I've gotten to the point where I just think every few months they hire a part-timer to go through the tickets, not that hard to put "GM iLoveMy$$$" at the end of each message.
It seems to me like, as far as Mabinogi goes, all their expenses are allotted to just running the servers; granted they finally did some software engineering on a revamped client the other day, which just killed part of the community. Oh, and when they occasionally pay a plane ticket for someone from DevCat to jump by their office and do their work for them. That ticket's gotta cost something.
Anyhow, I haven't really looked at any official expense reports, nor looked into much of their employee infrastructure, so this post can be summed up as a rant.
Well, if anything, once the immigration takes place, it should be fairly easy to make money, granted any players actually come, due to an increase in demand.
