but we need it to work for zips
because for rar there's the "aRAR" tool... which allows you to simply take out of the compressed .rar the files inside, even if they are "encrypted"
but if you try with the same tool you will fail; since the .rar and .zip password encryption and compression are totally different from each other.

in other words, it seems harder to descrypt .zip than .rars

If you don't enter the password for the RAR file and force it out, the file itself will be encrypted still. There's no known attack on RAR files besides brute force and dictionary attack. But there is one known attack for ZIP files.

Making ZIP files easier to crack than RAR files.

-eh? NOP; i use aRaR and it doesn't takes more than 1 second to crack a RAR file; giving me fully functional and descrypted files. use it if you don't belive it; also use it with the proper options.

-so far i have found no way to make something similar with zip files;

conclusion; RAR files; at least for me, are as easier to "crack" (**** i hate this word :/... ) as 1 or less than a second.

in the other hand; wtf is going on in, i though this was a "hacking" section of the forums; all what i see is people delaying things with such argument to let others "learn" ; not like im going to guess that password that somehow many have guessed; since im just joining around; yet i know how to use pake since it was available in a korean site years ago..... anyway i won't waste my time asking anymore, pretty much found the source of that dropbox =w= ' .. its all about google;

If you're not looking for the right stuff, then no, this place seems useless. However, believe it or not, many hints and clues are dropped as to how to go about getting stuff. That zip was surprisingly easy to crack, and the method was mentioned on this page, you just need to figure out how to do it. I googled my way through it and got there Lol. Now to just figure out my 9040018 error while using it...

I am not trying to crack a RAR just wondering what aRAR is. In case I run into a situation that I have to crack a rar.
